- 1993 NH 2120 (the best), 1974 MF 135 (sold, but solid), 1947 Farmall A (bought, sold, bought back, sold again), 1956 MH50 lbt (sold, in 1980, darn it)
I'm with slowrev - these were designed for cultivating and flat-land plowing. THey're high and have great ground clearance, but that gives them a high center of gravity. 40 years ago tractors weren't used the same. Lots of people had cordwood saws, a cutter bar, plows and harrows, and a wagon or trailer. If you don't expect modern performance these are excellent machines. My A would pull a 8000# sprayer uphill on gravel road with no diff lock and both tires just a diggin' away enough to keep moving. Very good for its time.
