I agree with Doc & Robert. While I find the humor most agreeable the farmer is wrong if he thinks he IS in a farming community -he WAS in a farming community until somebody planted houses. My neighbor at camp is the largest dairy farm in NH & despite also being the largest landowner and possibly the largest employer in town, he goes out of his way not to irritate the townspeople with farm "dirt". Any one call to a state agency costs him hours of aggrevation even when he's done nothing legally wrong.
On a similar note I once told the local planning board I was going to put up an appliance fence on our scenic road when they wanted to limit white goods at the dump, oops... transfer station, to one day a year because the sight offended a newcomer. MikeD74T
