Mr. Brentwood Power,

A steel trap mind about C.W. "Kurt" Schenck!

Here *was* your link to support the statement:
Finding A Niche In Imported Tractors. - Free Online Library

Guess what? Their website juuuuuust happened to go down within moments of me hitting it. If I wasn't a conspiracy theorist before...

Here's a link to the trusty hardcopy I made of the Schenck article:

Grrrrrrr!

Far as Mr. B.S.: There are a few possible explanations. My last dollar would be bet that it's a strategic move by TF... and/or Mr. B.S.

Think of it: With the way the dynamic has shaped up to effectively snag the dealers (and subsequently the external customers) from every angle, what's the chance those moves have made by "aw shucks" dumb luck or a co-winky-dink?

No way. Not buying it -- not for a second.
IMHO, this is another choreographed move.

Just one guy's hunch.

Excellent blueliner, I also checked this site yesterday and it was unavailable. good reading.I noted a couple things interesting in the article, one was Tony Alverez becoming CEO, most dealers have not been aware he actually was in the employ of the firm of Alverez & Marcell while acting as CEO,his actions, while CEO of longagribusiness set inmotion, the events which led to the situations we now face.I also found Bill campbell's statement"with us, the dealer takes no chance" amusing REALLY!. anyway, goood work blueliner,Robert Orr would proud of you. heh,heh-------Taxpayer

More of the history that brought us to the current sorry mess can be found at thehindubusinessline.com.... Thursday, Oct. 3rd, 2002 article which describes how Escorts bought out the partnership with Alverez and Marcell.

Kurt Schenck used to work for Long. He was hired by Textron because he was familiar with the line of tractors and the dealers. It was supposed to make a smoother transition to have someone in the Textron office that was familiar with procedures from Long. I don't think he has worked for Long/Farmtrac since 2001.

Seems in reading this article Newsroom: Featured Stories
That Kurt is a supporter of Montana. Maybe he will have that same enthusiasm with Farmtrac and turn us around! Whatcha think?

SESS,

Hmmm... Wonder how presently handling financing for Montana and formerly being part of FT play in? More specifically, if there's anything more than simply being a fellow with tractor-industry selling experience?

Blueliner,
I've been in selling these Long/Farmtrac tractors 12 plus years so I was here when Kurt worked for Long. I can't remember his "official" title. I do remember when Long would call the dealers for customer service surveys (when someone used to care), it would be K.S. that would call.
