I got a good price on a bx24(14950 delivered) and a good deal on a changed mind unused 60" deck $1250.

Drove to dealer in the boondocks to check it out. Seems he got it from another dealer in south central VA i think. I assumed he was getting from warehouse when he said he was having one bought in.

Said on id plate bx24D serial # 55633. I could tell it had set out due to a knob missing and a little rust on exposed threads and a control lever by left heel on deck. I asked him if this was a new 2007, he said it came from another dealer and went inside to check. Said it was delivered to dealer 12/27/2006.

Otherwise it was new unused. Hour gage was black so he ordered new clustere and new knob. Noticed on newer one he had sold(serial 57617) that control rod(maybe diff lock) by left foot heel on deck that newer run has rubber cover formed over steel. Don't know about seat seems I read that there was a seat issue. Deck is steel and fenders have the reinforcing ribs that I think I saw in a picture which were an update.

Opinions please. I've submitted all applications etc, but not signed anything. I confirmed earlier in dialogue on phone that this was new one.

Saves me 850.00 when you combine deck and tractor discount. What would you do?

thanks

I would buy it.

The first time you scoop up a load of gravel it is going to get scratched up. The instrument panel is a defect, I had the same one. My brand new tractor was delivered and the panel was dark. The new one has been rock solid. The loose grips are also a defect and they have new ones now. Mine haven't arrived yet, so I can't say how much better they are. It is actually good that you had the old display so you could see the number of hours that were on it. Mine was only blank occasionally so the hour meter usually worked. As soon as the new one is put on, the hour meter will go back to zero, so if possible you would like to see what the defective one says. Mine would be blank for about 20 minutes after the tractor started, then start working.
That one won't have the new seat as I think no one has them yet.
Maybe you can talk the dealer out of a free new seat when they are out next month. Otherwise they are 50 bucks.

You could never get that here for that price. Looks like a good deal to me.

The unit is dicounted for the defects. As long as the dealer makes good on the repairs, you got a very good deal. $15500 + $1600 for deck is a good price. You did well

I never could read the hours, its just black. The machine hadn't touch any dirt with its implaments. I doubt it had any

Just real dusty under hood, sitting on dealers lot in Farmville, VA. He had it bought in 36 miles to sale to me. BX24 don't sale real well in this very rural part of VA, apparently.

They had some 'new' L series tractors

The seats lame but looks like I'm stuck with it. I'll mention it to dealer but its not like a recall.
