2011 Kubota B3300SU
I've owned my Kubota 2011 B3300SU with BH-77 Backhoe for 2 years now. When it was delivered, I was shown how to remove the backhoe (partially shown really) but I have never removed it. The truth is, I've been chicken to remove my backhoe but I just ordered a WoodMaxx WM-8H chipper so I knew I was going to have to remove that backhoe in the near future to make use of that beast.

I screwed up my nerve & today was the day. I purchased some 1000# furniture dollies at TSC last week. I've been perusing threads on how to make a backhoe dolly which I will do but for now, the furniture dollies are pinch hitting. I got the backhoe off & onto the dollies without any significant issues (other than repeatedly hitting my head on the folded down ROPS). Since I was on a roll, I attached my StabilWorks stabilizer bars (purchased last summer & finally put on today). Feeling giddy with my success, I cut loose my 66" EA box blade in that was purchased in May of 2013 and which has sat securely on it's shipping palette until today as I attached it to my prior to now, never been used 3 point hitch!

Yay me! Starting to feel like a "real" tractor owner/operator now!!

The backhoe will get easier the more you change it. Don't feel too bad about not using your implements. When I bought my tractor, one of the tools I got was a Farmi skidding winch. It sat on the delivery pallet in the barn for 3 years before I used it. The original project I was planning on using it for never happened, and then we moved.

Go at it! Like it's said: the more you do it, the easier it will get. First time I took off my FEL, I was a bit anxious about it, but it is sooo easy that there's no reason not to remove it if it makes servicing the tractor that much quicker. Never messed with a backhoe, but I can see why you'd be less than eager to take it off the first time.

The Box Blade is no longer a virgin! I worked on an area that's been eroding at the end of my driveway for a couple of years. I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with my first effort! There's great advice on how to use a Box Blade here on TBN!!!!
