Tom,

I deleted the images. Hang in there and they will be back in the tread in a day or so.

Here they are. I've had the unit in operation a couple of months now and it works just as well as it did for nine years on my previous L3600. I understand that there are now units with an electronic remote control that allows greater distance away from the line of the cable and also is probably easier than hooking up the remote cable.

Hi Tom!

Glad you like the configuration. Make sure you use high quality battery cable with as many copper strands as are available. This provides maximum flexibility of the cable when moving the loader. Also, plan out the length of the power cables so they can’t drag on the ground and yet provide maximum movement for the loader. Also, be certain to use the “pop apart” cable connectors so they can disconnect at that point should you raise the FEL beyond the length of the power leads. A hydraulic winch can be mounted in the same manner should you prefer hydraulic. It is also important to have that fairlead plate fairly wide and high to deflect rocks away from the winch should they tumble out of the back of the FEL.

When the leads are detached and stored under the cover I’ve used this configuration to work my gravel pit, move snow, and many other FEL uses with no damage to nor interference from the winch assembly.

Have fun!…..Ken :D

Nice job!

Those connectors are ANDERSON.
Purchased mine on EBay, but also found anderson had a web site.
They offer many amperage sizes. Very handy!

I installed a set on my tractor and mated one end of my booster cables for 'quick plug-in' convenience.
Now I don't need to 'pop the hood' to use the cables.

I now have found the place and use to mount my 'spare winch'.
Thanks for the idea.

Here's what I did with my Kioti CK20. I bought the 10,000lb winch from Harbor Frt, comes with the roller fairlead and mounting plate.
I welded 3 2x2 tubes to bottom of the plate with the middle one extending to the rear 8". so it can be inserted into a hitch reciever on any vehicle.

Then I welded 3- 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 tubes to the top plate of the bucket, with holes drilled in all tubes to line up so that the winch can set on top of the tubes on the bucket and pinned .( the center one can be used for hitch recievers now or a changable hook)

I also welded a bracket and tube to the front of my trailer to winch vehicles onto the trailer.

For power I used the same ANDERSON connectors with heavy cables, all purchased as surplus from a company that salvages fork trucks. The cables come in many different lengths and have crimped/soldered ends on them.
I made up extensions with the QC's, and also made up one with a QC on one end and battery clips on the other to use as either jumpers or to pull power for the winch off a vehicle that doesn't have the QC's.

I highly recommend only running the winch with the bucket as low as possible when rolling ie; pulling tractor out of the mud , or with bucket teeth stuck in ground ie; when pulling a log out of the woods.
