Well folks, had both FEL seals replaced in the spring. The right hand side was dripping.
So I figured OK, get both done. Used a local guy in Victoria has his own hydraulic shop.
Here we are maybe 40 hours later and today I see a wet booger forming on the fitting.
Only thing I can think of is that I worked machine hard in Sept. in 103* for about 10 hours.
Every three hours or so, I'd take a break and allow engine to cool and blow out all coolers.
It's the only time this year I've worked it so hard, well twice cause this was the second cut for this family.
Would this be enough to degrade the seal so soon?
I'm using Rotella hydraulic fluid and has about 300 hours on it or so. Would the Rotella be to heavy in viscosity?
I'll be calling dealer up in Paige and see if there is a specific Kioti kit that 'has' to be used, or will using a Micrometer and selecting seal work.
The guy I took it took had a inventory of seals and mic'd it and replaced them.
Seemed to be working fine, well until today.
Just trying to learn root cause of this.
Just finished final season cut and will be flushing out radiator, so I'd like to address this as well.
Appreciate any lessons learned from you seasoned hands.
Have a safe week...
