WAS out working in the front yard this morning and low and behold the town sent a tractor to cut the burch back from the road. NH TL 90 with an articulating brush cutter, that thing was amazing, the operator could position it any way he wanted( he was an artist) thing had about 6 control levers. i got jealous real quick. here are a few pics if you don't mind.

Before I owned a tractor and lived on 11 acres, I would not have given a second look at a tractor mowing the side of the road. Today, I just about give myself whiplash trying to identify the model, HP, type of tires, and implements. Then I wonder if I could use one of those implements to make some of my work easier, and how much HP would be needed to power it, etc... Now I watch RFDTV just to see the antique tractor show! Everytime I see a circa 1950 Farmall A, I want one! I had a toy one as a kid, and I am regressing! Help!

Awsome machine isn't it. I work for a New Holland dealer and we also sell Alamo mowers which is what that one is. I have installed three or four of that style mowers on TS series tractors. I start with a bare tractor and a big pallet full of alot of parts and frame work. It is about a 50 hour project from start to finish. We fill the left rear tire with calcium instead of using wheel weights. I'm not sure what the weight difference is. I haven't had the pleasure of actually mowing with any of them but it's fun running all of the functions during my operations check when I'm done. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

That's great Frank! For all the guys looking at sickle bar mowers for pond banks, that's just the ticket. Of course, quite a few more bucks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've been playing on AutoCad with a similar design for my hoe. A 4' rc with hyd motor to replace bucket. I've got 750' steep road bank where they cut the road into the side of the hill. It's impossible to mow, so I have to swingblade or weedwhack it.
