Spreader Fertilizer spreader

I am looking for a economical three point fertilizer spreader for my BX2200, Has anybody used wilco? They have some very reasonable pieces. There arreators look nice too.

Never heard of Wilco /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. I have a Heard M-96 spreader, three point, type and I use a First Choice/Midwest aerator. Both work just fine with my BX or B2410. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif J

I have the Herd M-96 three point. It will work perfect on your BX. You will have to cut the PTO shaft off some.

I have had mine for two years, only draw back is the chemical fertilizers that you get (Scott's etc) don't work the best, it is too light. But I think you would have that problem with any of them.

I have a WorkSaver 3ph spreader. It holds 6bu's and has the optional agitator that has wings on it & sticks up about 10". I've only used it for sanding so far and works very well. I think the cost was around $375. The agitator will probably solve any clumping issues.

I just added "wings" along side the broadcast spinner. For anyone needing to sand these are a must. Otherwise the sand gets spread in a 180 degree pattern which covers the lawn, etc. Now it spreads at a shallow angle straight out the back.

That is a nice looking spreader, and I have checked out the Net Deals. Can you please give us some information about the spreader. The web site doesn't give any details other than price. I assume that the price is plus shipping? Thanks

I was poking around CCM's site and found the model number of the $235 spreader (GSM350). Did a Yahoo search and found the mfgr: KOYLU in Turkey. Here's the website: Koylu GSM350A Fertilizer Spreader

A bx series is a fairly compact..compact tractor.. I would look at the light duty 3pt spreader tractor supply has. Cheap and inexpensive! lightweight.. easy to hook up.

I've used mine for 3 seasons now... fertalizer is a bit rought on it.. but seed is fine.. just keep it painted and the slide door oiled, and the fertalizer is ok..
