This is probably a dumb question but does anyone fill their
front tires with fluid?
Advantages, if any?

Thanks

I fill them if there is no loader on the tractor. If there is a loader don't load them as there is already weight on the front end and don't want to risk a blow out. I load the fronts on loader less tractors because it balances the tractor better when you have a heavy load on the 3 point hitch. Loading them does shorten the life of the tires but for most of us the tires aren't real expensive as they are only small. They will also cause less fuel efficiency but not enough to notice.

Most guys do not. But there are a few of us that do.

Overall more weight = more traction.

You will find that the tires do not bulge anywhere as bad when you have a heavy load in the FEL bucket. This is because there is less volume of air to be compressed, so the air pressure rises much faster and supports the load quicker and better.

I feel that the tractor actually rides better vs driving along on 4 balloons.

I have all 4 tires filled on both my 75hp and 32hp tractors, wouldn't have it any other way. ;)

Yep. I got about 2000 hrs. out of my first set and the new ones are filled too.

Yes. With a loader espically because there is not enough clearence for them. But be advised it is a good idea to put tubes in as the beads on most front rims are not large enough to keep from pushing them off if running over anything or loads in the bucket. Added traction and stability are a definite plus. On my TN75DA I have a grapple on the 3 pt and a grapple on the loader. Currently using it as a skidder and stacking full length 70' fir trees that I'am thinning.

I have mine filled with washer fluid since I do not have an FEL, and they really help with traction, and front ballast. I second the thoughts on the tubes. It also seems to dampen the bounce that you get in the front of the tractor. They recommend only filling them to 75% if you are planning on using heavy equipment on the front, or heavy loads with your loader.

OK Guys,
Thanks for the info. I have decided to fill the front tires
with washer fluid/RV antifreeze up to the 75% level.
I have had two air-outs on the front tires since March while turning with a
medium size load in the FEL. I may put tubes in - haven't decided yet. Hopefully this will alleviate this issue.

I wouldn't fill front tires if you have a 4wd loader. That air suspension design is used to reduce the impact load from running overs rocks, etc..on your front 4wd steering joints when carring a load in the loader. Remember, the loader weight is a serious cantilever load on the front assy.

With over 2000 hours on my tractor, used commercially with a lot of loader work, I'm not too worried about it.

I have my front AGs filled with water on the 7520 with FEL. I use 75 to 90% fill for weight/down pressure and load carrying stability. I note 90% shows less compliance and am careful on major bumps. I have had a leake and run one tire quite low under load and turning. I expected a debead but it stayed seated fine. Makes me think that at full pressure there will never be a problem. Were your tires low when they debeaded.:curious2:
