Tractor
Kubota L3830
Well after a few months of trying to use my IH504 Utility in the woods and getting stuck/ not making it up slopes adn scaring myself to death almost, I sold her. See previous thread below.

I lucked into a 2004 Kubota L3830 4x4 with a 723 loader, R4's, QA bucket and a GST. Oh wow. Night and day difference b't those 2 machines (obviously). Best part is it had 30.5 hours, no that's not a typo! This old farmer had it and it wasn't big enough for him so he just let her sit. PTO's never even been used. Man what a machine. Fits in the basement perfectly I'll get pics ASAP.

I must say you guys rock. All the pointers, advice and opinions helped me greatly. I look forward to a lifetime of tractor ownership now and this site played a very large role in making that decision.

Sorry about that - do'nt know what happened. Operator error I'm sure

Saturday I was in a washing mood so the Kubota got a much needed bath. Then I put 8 hours on her yesterday. Pulled 5 stumps (4"-8" dia), spread some #2's on the (filler gravel - I know it's big) and made 5 runa dragging trees/ clearing brush from some clearing work we had done earler in the week (dozer work there!).

What a machine. The right tool makes all the difference. The wife had the digital camera with the youngin' all weekend so no pics...**** I want some for my wallpaper at work!

Finally got the camera away from the wife and snapped a few pics! Pulled 3 more stumps last night - getting a yardbox this week hopefully (had to sell the other one with the 1st tractor)

That's really nice, Headley. It's great to hear a happy ending and it confirms my belief that making the sacrifice for the right tools at the outset is generally the least expensive route in the long run. Sorry you had to go through all you did with the IH, but that's how we learn. Seems like you lucked into a very good deal on a very nice 3830 as well.

I see Spring is well underway down in beautiful Bloomington. Better get your work done before it turns HOT.

Nice tractor! I'm a grown man with my own tractor but I have no idea why looking at pictures of other people's tractors excites me. Don't tell my wife!
