Just got back from the dealer and tested my 4240. Had them install the third function valve as well as the LA854 loader and Blower. I'm still waiting on the deflection thingy for the chute. They had the cutting edge on the bucket and the beast got front fenders. Do they all have front fenders? The hour meter showed 24 hours on it and the dealer said they used it to remove some snow during the winter and there wasn't a scratch anywhere on the tractor or the bucket so I'm happy. They gave me a good price along with a brand new bindered service manual and parts manual and said the first service is free along with giving me and the miss' a Kubota jacket:cool:

There going to deliver it tomorrow so I'll post more pics then.Come on snow!!:D

That is a sweet looking ride. You will enjoy working with it this winter moving snow I bet. You are also lucky, free service and parts manual and jackets for you and the miss. I am so jealous.

Good luck with the new machine and many happy hours.

Nice looking ride, you will love that blower where you live. I had one on the front of a L 3830 but found that I could do my drive faster with a blade mounted on the FEL. With no cab it was cold out there. I traded up this year to an M-5040 with a cab.

4shorts,

Now I bet you can't wait for snow - NEXT Month!!!!!!!! :).

Looks great. Will the front fenders be a problem with snow - doesn't look to be a lot of clearance - maybe just the angle of the image.

I like the 'wings' on the blower. What make of blower is it?

So it was the jacket that made you move!!!!

Keep in touch.

You'll love it. Just like the one I have, but mine doesn't have the front fenders...got me wondering where I might find a pair :)

4shorts, are you getting the hydraulic deflector?? If so, is it Kubota's BL2666 kit? I've tried my local dealer, R.A.D. (who makes Kubota's blowers), and Messick's for info on what the kit includes with no luck. If you are getting the hydraulic delector, we need to talk !

Thanks everyone for your remarks on the tractor. As I've said in the past. If there's anything you need to know about tractors this site and it's members are second to none.
I think I'll be happy with the 4240. It will never see soil and just used for clearing snow.

Ductape the dealer said it will be a month before they get the shute deflector and will sent a tech out to install it. I'll ask him today what model number it is and post it here. I'll also post close up pics of the blower which is a Kubota L2674 74" acording to the book that I got with it.

KitC if you were closer to Newfoundland I would be locking the tractor up in the evenings seeing you like my fenders:D. I really like the fenders and although I seen them on a 5740 at the dealer I was surprised to see them on the 4240. I've never seen them online in any pictures. Is it a Canadian option?

Lloyd-E the fenders are mounted on the wheel hub of the Axel so the clearance won't change. I'll post detailed pics of it later today and your right. It was the Jackets that made me switch over to the Kubota from the Kioti :D but the Kubota only has two cup holders  Anyone who hasn't seen Lloyds tractor and set up you should look at the pics he has posted. I had to pick my jaw up off the floor after viewing them :)

I really liked the DK45 but the Kubota dealer has given us some business over the years and they seemed more interested in selling us a tractor. The Kioti dealership would take over a week to fax us a price and just didn't seem interested

Guys on more question. What does FRL stand for? I know it's the loader but why FEL?

I think "FRL" is a typo? It could be "Forward Radial Load".
FEL is Front End Loader. :)

The Kubota dealer had the tractor on the lot. The Kioti dealer had at least a couple months wait on the new cab model DK45. If the Kioti dealer had the tractor on his lot, he would have been on your door step.

It looks like a great tractor. Cab looks really nice! More Pictures, more pictures, more pictures!

Front fenders seem more common on tractors from the UK. Do you have a connection to the queen?
