Ford 3000 hydraulic adapter plate

I just installed a replacement hydraulic adapter plate for my fel and my 3 point stopped working.
My loader is off the tractor, I put the blocking plate back on to use the 3 point while waiting for the new plate.
I removed the new adapter plate and reinstalled the blocking plate and the 3 point is working again.
Hard to believe the new plate is bad, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thank you

What is exactly this plate? I suspect that it provides Pressure, Power beyond and Tank lines for the loader valve. Am I right?

When the loader is removed and being an older tractor, I assume the valve goes with it. If that's the case, you'll need to loop the Pressure out port from the adapter plate to the Power beyond port on the same plate so it completes the circuit and feeds the 3 pt.

In some cases, there is a built in valve in the adapter plate that accomplishes this internally without having an hose doing a loop.

There is no valve in the plate and I have removed the fel many times before while mowing and dragging my driveway and the 3 point always worked fine.

The HV 4902 has only two ports. When you remove the loader does the valve go with it or does it stay on the tractor? If it goes with the loader the two lines from the 4902 must be connected together, but I assume you already know that.

Harry, ptsg,....on the one adapter plate that i worked on at the Yanmar dealer a long time ago there was nothing in the plate itself except two hose connections - on for power beyond and one for return, plus the mounting bolt holes, and some reliefs cut into the plate for O ring seals against the 3pt housing.

You are correct that there also has to be a valve or diversion sleeve just like in any power beyond. But in the one I saw, the sleeve valve was not in the plate, the sleeve was an additional separate part threaded into the pressure port in the 3pt housing and covered by the plate when the plate is used. I wonder if his is missing or fell out?

I've seen in a least one WSM where the power beyond sleeve for an adapter plate was permanently installed and was activated by a short lever nearby.

Don't know if this makes sense or is any help. It was a long time ago.

The valve stays on the tractor. I never had this problem with the old valve that's the reason for my confusion.

Well I guess this adapter plate is different than the one I replaced so when I get a chance I will fit a loop and see what happens.
I will post the results when it's installed.

First thanks' to everyone for the replies, now to the results.
Feeling stupid as lines to the spool valve looked like they were in but they were not seated.
