I bought this Ford 445 yesterday. The engine is stuck but all the important parts are there. The plan is to go through it, repower it with a NH 545D engine and add a backhoe.
Has anyone heard or seen broken backhoe mounts on a 445 before? I will get some pictures of the mounts later today. One side was broken before and they did a repair. The other side is snapped clean through. They are beefy brackets, about 1 thick x 5 wide x 4 long pinned to the loader frame and bolted to the rear axle. I have the old style mounts on the 4500 and it it does not move or flex at all. Just wondering if these brackets are the weak link on the newer machines?
