I'm not familiar with the 502 and came up with nothing on a google. Apparently the model 501 was pretty popular, as I've seen a lot of them come available. Also a model 505 and 515. I've heard bad things about the model 515.
Thanks Glenn,
This one is in a "basket" so to speak. I just wondered if anyone even heard of it or if parts could be obtained. The 501 is a popular model, but I came up with nothing on the 502.
I went to this site http://www.sickleservice.com/modelList.php?company_id=3 to see if they listed parts and the 502 was the first model to show up! Apparently some parts are available and they may be able to tell you something about the mower.

Jerry,
Ford made a belly mount sickle mower and I think the 502 might be it. I found it on the web somewhere a couple years ago when I was looking for a sickle mower, but can't find it again. Check with the dealer, they should be able to tell you.
I have never seen a 502--If I was a betting person? I would bet that the 502 is the belly mount version of the 501 3 point model. If this is the case, Parts should be everywhere. We have nineteen used 501 mowers on the lot this week and parts availability is no problem for them--Ken Sweet Sweet Farm Equipment LLC *New Double Action 5-6-7 ft Sickle Bar Mowers in Stock*
The owner, who bought it "as is" at auction, said he thought it was a belly mount as well. Thanks for the replies, but I don't think I'll look any further at it. I keep my MMM on all summer, so I don't think I'll be able to use it. It's on eBay if anyone is interested in it, $35 presently.
