Well, I made it to my Friends Kermits house in Walnutport PA yesterday, and got to put four hours on his Kubota L3700su TLB. Its a nice size unit, lots of operater room on the tractor, but the backhoe a B76 with thumb has its on seat, which limits operator room on the BH, keep hitting my knees, with the main boom, and found it has lots of power to move the tractor around, move large rocks, but cant break a root for nothing, but of course I was trying this on a 40foot tall, live tree, this could have been the problem. I did get it down, but it did not go the way I wanted it to go, and could not get it broke losse from the root ball in the ground, ( gave up and grabed his cousins Koumsta pc28 and just pulled it right out of the hole.)

I found the light switch to be flimisley. Over all power with the big front end loader was nice though, large bucket with ware plate, but just like my BX 23, had to work it back and fourth a little to pick up large buckets full of debre.

I found the the HST to really scream, but I know this is normal. I still want to get a larger unit, but not to much larger, and I still think, a B2620 or 2920 TLB will be all I need in Louisiana, no big rocks, lots of sand for dirt, etc.

I will try to get Kermit to take some photos with me on it today, I know that's what everbody is look for. ( actually tractor only photos that is)

Sounds like a fun day. Boy I wish I had a backhoe.

If you want bigger, it sounds like you want the GrandL or a 4400. At times I wish I had gotten the 4400.

Well after a few more hours today, got better use to the size of this unit, and was able to finsh all the but one of the projects I started yesterday, and even did a little work on a mud hole in the drive way. Just took a few hours to get better. I still think now I can get by in Louisiana with only a 2620 or 2920. I did however wish I had one of those brush things JT was was posting about.

I had to push a lot of lims and debre into a large trench, and found I was losing some tracton due to the mud, so, I just filled it up with dirt that has a lot of roots, in it, and it allowed me to push on into the pile.

I also see that these bigger units, are the Muscle to get large jobs done, but the bx23, and
the other units I am thinking about are the finshing units, to get into the tight places, and finsh off the surface but still have enough power to get the job done.

Well, its not my tractor, but after getting to put almost six hours on the meter, I though yall might want some photos. The photos, are of My Friend Kermit, using his L3700 to move a rail car, at the Weatheley (spelling) PA rail works site, where his Caboose is now located. He used his L3700 to clean out the old trackage, and then move this Hopper car around. Also one photo of his new tractor as it arrived at his place in Walnutport PA
