Iseki Landhope 240
I have a Landhope 240 and was wondering if anybody had the seal part number for the seal that goes onto the front diff at the wheel? This is the diff that drops down when you take the steering arm off (one on each side). When you are looking at it from the top there is a seal there. It looks like a standard wheel bearing seal except that i'm sure its metric. Instead of looking at seals all day, I was hoping somebody might have already done this.

Thanks
Mike

I have a parts manual that I got from Hoye Tractor Parts (940)592-0181 if you need one, About $50 delivered. Its in Japanese but has good drawings so you can get some things done. I'll keep checking in.

The seal part # does not cross to anything available in the US. I may have the seal, but don't have the dimensions. The OEM seal would have to be ordered from Japan. I'm checking on price & also can supply parts books.

Hmmm, I replaced all the seals in my TS1610F front drive gear boxes. They were all metric, yes, but readily available from my local hydraulics repair shop. The size in OD, ID and thickness is imprinted on the edge in mm's. I can't imagine any seal mfr making a special lip seal for one model tractor. The tractor designer, like any product designer, usually tries to use a standard off-the-shelf part whenever possible, especially for consumables like seals and bearings, to keep costs down. Most everything is going metric anyway. My local hydraulics shop brought out one of their seal supplier catalogs, identified them, and ordered them no problem from a USA mfr/distributor. The only parts I did have to order special from Rainbow were the press fit oil-lite bronze sleeve bearings for the large diameter steering pivot pins (or whatever they're called) that each wheel pivots at/on. They had a steel backing for support that keeps them from deforming and working their way out under heavy loads.

Thanks for the info larso1.

You're right, once I got it apart I was able to find a part #. It was an NOK but the # did not come up. I measured and got the size. Found a local bearing and seal dist that worked with me and found the seal. The original seal does have an extra lip on it---extra protection for dirt and water??? I put a standard seal in without the extra lip and seems to work fine. Now I have to take it apart again to replace the horizontal seal next to the ring gear. At least these come apart easy.

Thanks
Mike
