Welcome to TBN Lasgambler.

Those are some tough questions...I would think the YM model would be the easiest to acquire parts for with the FX42D next in line...I've never even seen a picture of a FX335D!

Are all these tractors for sale at one location? If so, will the dealer offer any warranty or parts support? I wouldn't want to guess on the prices. Perhaps other member/dealers can offer better suggestions than me.

Mark

Hi Mark, thanks for the welcome. The tractors or from different dealers all over the country. I want one of the larger D models and it seems there's not that mant out there. Have not questioned about warantys as I still donot know which one would be right for me. The prices or very close on all three. Thanks

It's true, there are not a lot of the larger Yanmars out there, which, in itself, presents a parts problem for all of them. Maybe a parts dealer will jump in with some personal insight. Apparently most people that need that big of a tractor are willing to spring for the more expensive brands.

Hi Norm, I considered the Montana, Kiote and TYM. I have been internet shopping for quite sometime. I keep coming back to Yanmar as you get more bang for the buck even if it is pretty old. Still don't know, Maybe someone else that owns these tractors will chime in.

I have an FX24D and have not had any parts problems. I doubt that you will have any more parts problems with the FX42 model than with the YM. The newer FX335 may have a slight disadvantage with parts availability, but then it is also a newer machine.

Check warranty, and parts availability from the seller, then pick the best.

It's all in what you want. I got a 20 HP YM .All it is good for is cutting grass to me. not for ever one ,Just to me. so I got the 25 HP it is A nice little tractor .It will almost do what I want .So I order a 35 HP .It has came in I worked on it putting it together .Now I look at a 48 HP while I was up there , I could have gotten ether one I wanted . but I think the 48 will be to big .So I am going to get the 35 HP. I want something I can cut grass with .Go and fix a Garden for people. And some people have little gardens. If I am going to bush hog 20 acres I am going to take a 90 HP tractor and a big bush hog . But I have Bush hog a lot of 1/2 acres and 1 acres lots. I when 5 miles to bush hog 20FT by 60FT because that is what they wanted.I want something I can load and unload fast and easy. So it is all up to what you want or what you are going to do with it. Or you can do Like I do just keep trying to you get the right one.

We have an FX42-D that I have had for 4 years= I love it I use around our place when I go to war with the ground. We welded supports underneath so that we could put a backhoe on it, and a Koyker 155 loader.

I just aquired an FX335-D 3 months ago, I dont have a loader on it yet so I cant really give a detailed report, but it runs great, starts every time,is quite comfortable and it feels like it might be a keeper.

I dont worry about parts

Hi Ernie, Thanks for the input. It makes me feel better knowing first hand someone is operating these with no problems and does not worry about parts.

The biggest concern I would have is who is selling the tractors & what quality of tractors are they selling. Zero hours & new paint would be at the bottom of my list. If they buy them from an auction, bottom of the list. If from Ernie, top of my list.
