that is the EweLink app on my smart phone. Has all my garages on it. It ROCKS, in the loader have an opener, on the lawn tractor have an opener. Need to pull some one else's car in, you have an opener!
I had the silly flo light interference issue, cutting down the opener range, problem gone. In fact we now have the opposite issue, because you can open it from ANY where.
I was also tired of the batteries running out on the opener I did have.
Best of all its cheap to do! $20 a door. When you have to replace those stupid openers they cost more than that.
You do have to have wifi in your shop and garage and well you need a smart phone.
You hit the app on your phone the above pops up then you select the opener you want.
the below opens

Then you hit off. phone vibrates garage opens. Hit it again it, closes.
You need to wire one of these a crossed the switch contacts

Then I ordered the 12v adapter from here.

The EWElink app walks you through how to get them on your network, phone ect. It is pretty self explanatory.
Once you get used to slapping the phone on the holder on the dash once you get in the car, use it is pretty easy.
Wife even likes it.
There is one issue, if you have one module and want to share it, you end up having to log in and out it can be a pain. So, for the house i put two in parallel. Wife has one I have one. Then no need to log in and out. When employees want to pull vehicles into the shop, THEY HAVE AN OPENER.

Interesting. I like to keep things reasonably simple. I hate my phone and the less stuff it does for me, the better. It it get lost or destroyed, I would hardly miss it.

You know the Russians are going to be opening your garage as soon as you are out of sight.

The low price is great, but does it have a feed back to phone to let you know what it's doing?Screenshot_20190202-070405_LiftMaster.jpeg

I'm with Industrial Toys what good is a smart phone with a dumb owner.:confused3: I work construction and still use my casio Boulder . My wife bitched about the $200 bucks I paid for it 20 sutten years ago. Between her and the kids I probably spent $3,000 dollars in smart phones in that time . Money flushed down the toilet. I drooped It out of a 65' boom when I was talking to the apprentice boy and it bounced up and he caught it. Now that is impressive. He calls it the Cellausarious Rex . Make along story short Wifes gone phone still here and I got the kids.:D:laughing::dance1::drink:

I simply take along the spare garage door opener when I take out my tractors or UTV. Not that I ever have, but I would much rather loose the spare opener rather than my "flip phone" while in the field or woods. I have no use for a "smart phone", no use paying the high price for one and the extra monthly charges that go along with it.

"To each their own", it's great that we all have choices. :)

Don't want door opening closing unless I am right there in front of it..... What if you accidentally open it and are 40 miles away when "somebody" decides to "borrow" something..... Some times these apps and convinces are just a little too helpful.... Life was better without smart phones, all they do is make you look dumber, faster......

I had neighbors years ago. They both worked for an airline a hundred mileas away. Twice I had to go there and comfort her, because she came home and found the garage door open and was totally spooked. Never did find out what it was all about.

The idea is nice but I wont buy anything that REQUIRES the internet in able to work. For me rural internet is like a third world country with frequent outages and extended down time. My wireless remote works 99 percent of the time vs the internet 80 percent uptime.

No it does not. I was skeptical at first so I only bought one for the garage that we were having the flo light ballast interference with the remote range issue. As long as your careful..... i mean you can hit the regular one when it is in your pocket and open the door and if your not watching the door close, the dog or cat running through can open it again. There is not any feed back on the old style opener... The phone app solved a lot of issues for us as the old style opener was not cutting the mustard.

As for not going to get me one of those smart phones. I hear you fought it for the longest time. The flip phones actually cost more for service. Also, if you don't have a cell phone these day it is not like there is a pay phone on every corner anymore. Also, when I am out and about on the property by myself, the wife feels better if I have a phone with me. Happy wife happy life.

Got new hearing aids, they are wonderful. you control the volume, type of environment your in, much more enjoyable to go out now. They are controlled through app on my cell phone. I can blue tooth the tv to them such that I can actually hear it and understand it. Controlled through the cell phone. If I was older I might be able to say, "to old to learn the new stuff" just not the case. I didn't just jump into the cell phone app deal. It was a pretty much, if you can't beat'm gone'm. I mean I have clocks I don't bother to adjust for day light savings time. The one on the stove put black tape over.
