This tractor never disappoints....yes I know I overwork this thing to death....but I just love it.....for one rock I had to put the bucket in float, lift the the rear up with the hoe, take it out of float, then sit the rear back down.....voila the rock was off the ground.....I love this tractor. My advice when lifting this much....baby the front axle (...don't stress it...this axle will take a beating...) IMG_4146.JPGIMG_4133.JPGIMG_4139.JPGIMG_4143.JPG

Where do you get all those rocks? All we have down here is mud or sand.

The big rocks are just around in the woods, half buried. The river rock was delivered on a triaxle, about $350 for 40,000 pounds.....I'm about 5 miles from a quarry and they are great with working with the local folks.

Very nice rock work! We get large stones- but they are irregular and flat - like they grow in the ground!

Great helper you have there!

These little tractors are definitely underrated and misunderstood. I ussually chuckle when I read posts and there are guys recommending 30 and 40 hp units for 2 or 3 acres, anything less will be about useless....they never watched us work these wonderful machines. They get into tight spaces then do amazing work ! Looking good out there !

Does anyone know the weight at which the front axle will fail on these. I just recently completed a drainage project and the excavated soil/rock I was moving in the 1-yard bucket seemed to range anywhere from 400 pounds to 1200 pounds due to heavy moisture content. From one yard to the next, there was no way to know until I lifted just how much I was lifting. I did indeed baby it across the yard to limit impact stress, but I figure if the arms and cyclinders can hold, then the front axle should hold too.

You didn't see the pic of me wedged between a tree and one of the rocks trying to use every muscle in my body to roll it over into the bucket....lol....but I must say that backhoe saves my back, I have dug A LOT of trenches with it and man is it a back saver....

I honestly think so long as you aren't on pavement in 4x4, with a 800lb+ load, turning full lock....you'll be okay...I say this only because I've put this front axle through **** but the one thing I do not do is run it in 4x4 on pavement. At least that's what I'm telling myself...I figure while it's under warranty I may as well test its limits and hope AGCO doesn't figure out my username...lol

I would believe that anything the fel can possibly lift, the axle can easily handle. Now if you're trying to "pry" something with the fel on only one side then that is putting specific strain where it wasn't designed - and will bend the fel and could effect the axle too. My point is - the hydraulic pressure will send to relief before the axle is in danger usless you are doing something in a leveraged situation not intended.
