GC2300 60amp fuse

I have a 2004 massey GC2300 tractor and the fuse from the alternator has blown out stoppped charging the battery,the massey dealer said it should be a 40 amp not a 60 amp that is in there? it has a F416 on the side any one know anything about this, thanks

I just checked the one on my lot and it is a 40amp.

On my 2300, it depends...

The "main" fuse is a 40-amp slow-blow, but the one that's actually on the alternator is a 60-amp slow-blow. The 40A is in a small box hanging below the fuse box; the 60A alternator fuse ( also in a small box) is wrapped up in the wiring harness below the alternator.

My 2310 is an '07, yours could be different....

On my 2300, it depends...

The "main" fuse is a 40-amp slow-blow, but the one that's actually on the alternator is a 60-amp slow-blow. The 40A is in a small box hanging below the fuse box; the 60A alternator fuse ( also in a small box) is wrapped up in the wiring harness below the alternator.

My 2310 is an '07, yours could be different....

I cannot find mine and am having the same problem on a GC1705 2018 model. ANyone know where exactly it is located?? Thanks

The GC1705/10/15/20 series tractor does not have a 60 amp slow blow fuse, only fuse between alternator and 12 volt (battery terminal on starter solenoid) is a 40 amp slow blow and and runs from the "B" terminal on alternator through fuse #11 on fuse block (#29 in diagram) and to 12 Volt battery terminal on starter solenoid...... YOu should have 12volts standing all the time on "B" terminal of alternator if path is good...

Found my problem it was the 40 amp fuse and you were correct no 60 as I tore wiring apart and nothing
