Oil & Fuel General question about stuck oil pan plugs

I know this is a general-mechanic question, but:

I went to change the oil today on the TS 1610 . The oil pan plug is on there very tight. I tried everything I know but I'm afraid I'm going to ruin the head. Anybody have any good suggestions for getting it off?

when you do get it off, might not be a good idea to reuse it.. I've seen alot of stretched threads on drain plugs over the years..
They usually will come off, but I have run into a couple that were crossed... but not many in 25 years..
drain plugs are fairly cheap..oil pans not so cheap..

When I have had that problem, I first procure a new plug. Then take a pipe wrench and use it to take the plug out. Be sure to check the pan threads before putting the new plug in. If the new plug doesn't go in easy, chase the threads before damaging the new plug.

If you round off the head of the bolt, I've had good luck with this IRWIN Vise-Grip The Original™ Locking Wrenches

In conjunction with an impact wrench.
