if there are any crush washers I need for the engine oil, Hydraulic fluid or Front Axle Oil. If so, what type (copper?) and size would I need. It doesn't say anything in the owner's manual. I've got all the parts and then I realized I may have forgotten the crush washers you need to replace. I know on my Powerstroke If I don't replace the washer I wind up with a drip around the oil plug.

Thanks

Don't forget to take magnet off old hydro filter and install on new one.

Don't forget to take magnet off old hydro filter and install on new one.

My last new one from Kubota came with the magnet on the new Filter.
No crush washers replaced. If I remember correctly the oil drain plugs had plastic washers.

What is your plan on mitigating fluid loss when you remove the hydraulic and HST filters?

I did not change the transmission hydraulic Fluid on the Kubota at 50 hours only the filters, so I used the vacuum cleaner method of fluid retention.. There is that and the park it on an extreme angle method, and you could try the method I used on my Kioti the last time I changed filters without changing fluid which is to plug the air vent on the transmission (yours should be under the seat, a little J hook rubber plug) with a screw so that air cannot enter the top side of the "tank" so it will not gush out the big hole you make in the bottom when you pull the filter off.

I cant't say for sure if it will work on the Kubota, as I have never tried it there, but is sure worked on the Kioti. I pulled the hydraulic filter off and dwadled around in getting the new one on, and total loss would not cover the bottom of a small pan. It was better than the vacuum cleaner to the filler hole method. Anyway good luck with it, have fun and try not to get dirty! Ha!.

Given the cost of the machine vs the cost of oil, I replaced the fluids and filters, instead of just filter as recommended. At 500 hrs+ now, and done all the services. Never replaces the copper washers, and never had a drip.

I do save the hydraulic magnet and stick it on the outside bottom of the engine oil filter tho..

I drained my L3200 into a clean bucket at just under 50 hours. Of course I also tore the hydraulics apart to add 3 spools to it. Swapped the filters when it was drained. Dumped the old oil + a little extra new oil back in when I was done.

It has copper washers, I've just reused mine when changing oil and never a leak or problem later. Good luck, the 50 hour is an easy job, just give yourself enough time and take it slow.
