If you want a good ride dont get the rtv, it rides like a lumber wagon compared to the xuv, polaris, and rhino.
The xuv has 2 inch longer wheelbase. In my opinion the JD frame is actually stronger. The cab flexes more in the rtv than the JD, that is why the doors arent all glass. Plus you will pay 5000 dollars more.

I been known to be wrong at times, but I do believe the RTV 1100 doors are glass. I will have to ask someone who owns one ....
But seems like the unit I test fired at the dealership, had glass ~~~~ Found this on the Kubota website :

Curved Surface Glass
The curved glass on the front and sides of the RTV1100 gives you a wider field of view and also adds to the styling and aerodynamics of the vehicle. The windshield comes equipped with a standard wide-coverage wiper.

I do get tired also of people pushing certain brands and models but it is understandable. They love their machine and are proud of it.

Weight is a big issue for me which is why I was leaning towards the 6x6 Ranger before I got hurt. Once healthy I will be demoing a few bench seat UTV's including the RTV if the Kubota dealer is willing. My main issue with weight is my ground is so soft the majority of the year I need something that can float over the soft muck and clay without spinning and tearing things up.

One advantage of weight is when pulling on hard ground. The heavier machine should have more pulling power if everything else is equal. So do I get a cookie:)

You can add ballast to a light vehicle.
With a heavy vehicle you're stuck with what you have.

i try to lighten my ride up as much as possible sometimes we ride across things that are called flowtons. or how ever you spell it . but anyway they are basicly a floating island of grass now sometimes you can ride on one and sometimes you sink but the last thing you want is more weight. like a37b said the rtv is 5k more and price really does matter here so does ride i don't want a tank well yea i want a tank but i don't want one that rides like a tank if ya know what i mean.

Tommy, I understand about the weight. We have similar spots around here. If you look at it you would think it is normal ground but you will sink fast. That is why I have been leaning towards the 6x6 Ranger. It seems like a good system for my ground. A lot of the grape farms around here have the 6x4 gators with the 6x6 rangers gaining popularity.

The Ranger 6x6 is awesome. It is true 6 wheel drive has a payload of close to 1800 lbs.
Has efi and will run 44 mph stock. 40 horses and only weighs a bit over 1400 lbs. :p
