Spent two nights getting the retractable awning on the car club trailer, then realized at today's event and next week's, we probably can't even use it! Oh well, tired but satisfied it's done. Nice this morning but the humidity is back for a couple of days and we have a big car show on the Tangier Sound in Crisfield, MD today. Pretty spot, you can see across the Little Annemessex River and the sound to the Chesapeake Bay. 12 Miles out is Smith Island. Home to some of the last remaining Cornish seafarer accents in the world. There, Tangier Island and along the NC Outer Banks were about the only places left that speak the language. The Outer Banks has become so infiltrated that it's disappearing rapidly there. I grew up down there and knew many of the "High Tiders", as the locals called them due to their pronunciation of such things as 'High tide on the sound side'. Enough rambling, have a great day!
