Afternoon all. Still raining here, 73, 91% humidity. Forecast high of 82 with 90% chance of rain. It has been 90 percenting off and on all night and morning. The radar shows there is still plenty more in the Gulf coming this way. We have got an 1 1/4" since midnight. A lot of that came about 1 o'cock this morning as I was driving home from work. Luckily I was about the only one on the road, because I was having to slow down to 40 mph. And even then, it was hard to see.

I have another full day at work. I have events morning, noon and night. When I got here at 9:00, the Pee Wee Football people were waiting on the porch for me to unlock. I always try to come in an hour early, but this morning an extra hour of sleep meant more to me than an extra hour of pay. The Blountstown class of 76 is having their reunion tonight. I guess with them getting a little older, they decided to quite at 10:00. That's alright with me, I shouldn't be much later tonight than I was last night. And I do have Sunday off this week. I will catch up on my sleep tomorrow while I 'watch' the race.

Was a beautiful day here today, wife and I crossed the Ambassador bridge and went to Taylor Michigan to do a little shopping. Bridge was crazy busy as a lot of cars were headed to the Woodward Dream Cruise.

I talked to Mamma earlier. She said that when my sister crossed the Willis Bridge at dinnertime, the Chipola River was full of tubers, right in the middle of a bad thunderstorm. Plus the river has come up 5 feet in the last 24 hours, and is just as muddy as can be. But I guess that if you want to go tubing this summer, chances are you are going to do it in the rain.

Raining hard here. Hope it clears because today I have my youngest and I need something fun we can do together.

I'm hoping for time in the pool this afternoon. it is a weird wet and cool August lately.

I was also planning to go visit our former horses today, but if it is just a mud-bog... Not too keen on that idea.

We shall see...
