Came down for dinner caught the rest of the News Hour while eating then after that watched Nature and Nova on PBS.

Woman just headed over to the neighbor's to put her dogs away for the night.

But She made me a pot of coffee before She left.

Trying to summon up the motivation to head back up to the shop to do a little wire brushing and then start priming.

Probably shouldn't have ate as much as I did ... ;)

Yes, Rice in Hawaii.
Two stories. My main helper building the house took ill and was in the hospital shortly after we moved in. We went to the hospital to visit. He was doing well, but had 1 complaint - rice with every meal, 3x a day. And he hated rice.

A few years back one of the local radio shows sponsored a contest, about Christmas time as I recall. One of the main prizes was a years supply of rice, either a 25 or 50lb bag per month for a year donated by a local store. Pretty sure it was the 50lb as I recall often commenting what a lit of rice it was. Contest lasted several weeks, with daily winners during the week that became eligible. I don’t even recall what the other prizes were, but the rice was the most coveted.

And yes, we always have bag in the pantry. Brown rice is good, but good ole Japanese style white is our go to.

Coffee is done brewing. 29° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 59° with mostly sunny skies. Got flasher installed in lighthouse and programed to be like a real light house. Remembered that I had not mounted toolbox on trailer yet. Got that done. Did more pond cleanup. Need to start getting all the small stones out of pond that get stuck in vacuum hose. Even got all tool and benches cleaned up. Grocery shopping this morning. Then mow grass in afternoon.

probably the best thing about fixing the coffee machine is that I no longer site on two pieces of wood (which were staring to “grow” which were on a cafeteria tray, to keep the water leak from spreading across the countertop!

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

51.1F, raining since zero-dark-hunnert, going to upper 50’s. Rain, showers, rain, rain showers rain.

yesterday was primarily an admin day, but the rain did stop for a bit in the afternoon, so I went back to working on the tiller, and about ten minutes after I got into it, rain resumed — even though radar indicated it would be clear for about three hours. A green blob just popped up, right over our area… 🫤

Senior dog came out with me while I was working, mainly to giver her a break from the puppy, and she promptly went to her “Happy Place”, which is sitting in TukTuk, all easy to go for a ride up to the woodlot. That wasn’t going to happen, and she stayed in TukTuk (which is under cover) for the next three hours, in spite of the rain. This is the dog that, six years ago, couldn’t go 50 feet (maybe 40) in a vehicle without yakking. Now she looks forward to rides!

today is looking like an “Administrative Day”, with intermission this afternoon to go to Kubota dealer again and see about actually pulling the trigger.
I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

White rice stores better than brown rice.

Good morning, 44 going to 68 nice day and sunny

Back to PT appointment for shoulder this afternoon. Shoulder continues to improve and using more resistance with the rubber workout tubes. Also worked out a series of exercises for the legs and some stretches with straps and rubber bands. I am definitely not very flexible. Remembered I had the tie up straps for planting trees and cut off some to help with the exercises.

Kil, good luck at the dealer.
