Did your knee caps etc. stiffen 3 hours after setting on the seat BEF?

No, but did a lot of bouncing. I really moved once the dark clouds started gathering.
It rained at MIL all night. Hate the thought of towing in this rain. It’s just starting to rain at home.

Right now, my biggest question is how accurate that 8’1” height is, because the opening to our shed is 8’1-1/4” if I take off the door stopper strips… I would really like to be able to store it inside!

already trying to figure if I can sink two or three lengths of C-channel into the dirt in front of the shed to make “glides” that I can push down with the blade and tilt the canopy enough for extra clearance as I back into the shed… and can I then maneuver the arm into the shed behind me.

Nothing is ever simple…
one thing to watch out for is to lower the boom before driving inside and doing damage. Don't ask how I know!

56 raining going to 62. Got pretty wet this morning feeding the birds and checking the rain gauge, etc.

Hope you had a great Birthday, LS! Enjoy your snow!

Nice addition to the family, Kilroy.

Did a couple of things for my wife, then a dump run and maintenance hike yesterday, then forgot to do the two chores in advance of the rain.

Good morning, the low is 43 and the high going to 66°F. Wind SE 5 gusting to 10 mph. Partly cloudy.

I lost a day somewhere during the week. Today I go to North Bay on the monthly shopping trip. Tomorrow I put the hoe on.

The PO counter woman said the package wanted a signature and when I got in there (my weekly town run anyway) she punched it into the computer and it said no signature required. this is the latest phony excuse for not delivering it to the door. The delivery guy and her both don't know what pens are. I asked her if she had ever heard of a pen and she replied that there wasn't any such thing as paper.

In 2019 this places replacement cost it was insured for $249,000.oo. Fast forward to 2023 and the replacement cost has almost doubled, $498,000.oo I wonder who is foolin' who here.

Have a safe day all

Good morning, 51 going to 55 and raining.

Finished drilling the fence holes yesterday. Only one of them was not going down all the way trying to chew through a big tree root.

Kilroy, you will enjoy the convenience and ease of using the X for tree work. Almost feels like cheating to use it.

Can you scrape out some dirt at the shed and create some more headroom?

Took me a while to get the controls for the excavator to be built in to memory and automatic. The built in movements from the the old backhoe had to be lost first. Found some dirt and tree pile to practice on and then after that easy
The shed has a concrete floor!
Nothing is ever simple…

Good Morning.
It’s a damp 48 outside, and that’s pretty close to the high for today. Supposed to start raining this afternoon and continue for three days.
Glad that we got the shearing done yesterday while we could stage animals outside in temporary pens.
Got everything cleaned up and put away, trash and recycling collected and at the end of the lane, even got to put my feet up for a while before dinner. Son and grandson came up to fly models, so I even got a few flights in myself. I really like the electric powered planes, no cleanup or support equipment, makes it realistic to bring one out for a few flights. Even with a seven foot wingspan, it has tons of power and flight time.

Not a lot planned for today, I’ve got some work to do on the little full scale plane, have to figure out what to make for dinner for the boys in the band for tonight’s get together, and there is always cleaning up to do in the shop.

JC, I ‘m envious, as I really wish there was a way for me to justify an excavator, I really want one, but I don’t have that much use for it. My neighbor and good friend has a KX057-5 with a cab that he has offered to drop off for me anytime that I need one, and I haven’t even taken him up on that. I have run it for him on his jobs, my grandson loves it.

When his mom came to get him and take him home, he wasn’t happy-

It’s time to see what I can accomplish outside before the rain starts.

took a tape measure to the lot, had the salesman do some boom swinging.

if I swing the boom (not rotate the cab) all the way to port (I think nautical notation is important with A contrivance that can pivot 360°) the ex has approximately a 10x10 footprint, give-or-take. So I can tuck it in behind the tractor if there are no implements attached. But if I have to do a tilt maneuver in reverse, then I will have to then be able to simultaneously rotate the cab wile pivoting the arm in a compound maneuver to fold everything up nice and tight.

or I could buld a shed attachment to the building…

Theft prevention is not really a big thing with these, either.

I am considering getting two pair of heavy cable connectors and making a short, removable jumper in the middle of the battery cables, since these things have universal keys…

set them up BAT/F/M/M/F/system to make it harder to pull battery and move closer and plug in.

it is hard to bread the Jersey habits…
