Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.6C and it's presently 13.6C. The day started overcast but has now shifted to partly cloudy. It's calm and there was 2.6mm in the gauge at 0900.

What with all of the GM 'reports' of 'backs & bodies' showing their age, I've made the executive decision to make 3 bundles/trips of firewood into the house instead of 'pushing it' with 2. I have to admit to myself that I'm not getting any younger, plus I've got nothing to prove, eh?

Not much planned for today. That's about it, take care all.

Successful trip to pick up the G Tractor battery. When I pulled the old one out, my sticker was still there ---- purchased Jan 2014. Nine years of battery life... I think I got my money out of that one for sure. It was technically on its last electron last season, but even 8 years was good.

The traffic was ridiculous in town, traffic congestion everywhere I turned.... everyone must have called off work today....
By the time I got home, I was in no mood to change it out... a small project for tomorrow.

Wifey made a delicious pot roast in the crockpot with potatoes, carrots, celery, onions. Scoffed that right down....

Then decided it would be a good time to go to Wally World and pic up a few grocery items, but the main reason was to get 2 birthday presents and cards for two GS's. Since I'm heading up to Colorado this weekend, I'll just drop them off early (still 2 weeks before their BD's).

Doug, sorry to hear of all the trials and tribulations you've been going trough. Flying RC's might help take your mind off them. Prayers sent your direction.

Kilroy, glad to hear you're slowly mending. Keeping Harry occupied was probably better for you than him.....

Jay, I read your post about Boyo acting like a chainsaw to Dona... she was laughing hysterically at the way you described it. I told her she has to stop b*/$*-g about Max bringing in one piece of mulch stuck in his beard.... it could be worse....
I figured since I'm going to help out our daughter this weekend, I'll at least survive until I get back!😬

Chis, you know what they say about people that get abused.... they always protect the abuser.... Are you sure it was a tree limb? 🤫😁

RS, relay a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to Mrs RS woman.

Everyone have a peaceful evening

I would really like to know how a BH is supposed to go on in 30 minutes. It only took the two of us 2 hours to get that sucker on.
But it is on and I cleaned out both ends of the culvert that I own.
The township one at the road, they can earn their keep and clean it. Tomorrow is stump and small tree day.

David, lots of practice on similar material and thickness will help.

Yep, that’s the plan. Have some fence pipe cutoffs to practice on and play with settings. Figure if I do a fair number of short sessions might develop a bit of muscle memory. Only gonna get 1 try to do it right.

I can image some of the guys like, you, Pop, RS and others chuckling over my welding whining over what wouldn’t be a 10 minute job for you guys.
