Good morning!!!!

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 4C and it's presently 13.9C, calm and clear. There was 0.5mm in the gauge at 0900.

Looking to hydrate (a lot) prior to heading into town to give a blood sample, then I'll swing by the Chemist to see if they've got a covid booster shot available. I just want to be 'current'; I've already had this year's flu shot.

The BoM predicts the winds to pick up, so the wattle tree clean-up will probably have to wait for a wee bit. It's not like I need to mow the area that the branches are... or anywhere really... as the grass has practically stopped growing until Spring comes around.

Of course, with the very slow grass growth, the agisted horses are eating more round/square bales of hay. The "Mad Agisting Horse Woman" would like to shift paddocks on Sunday arvo, after I get back from Church.

That's about it, take care all.

Couple loops of saw chain sharpened for relative this afternoon.

Then shower/shave/clean up and off to Eadies Fish House to meet them for dinner.

Was good.

Stopped by Dunkin for an iced Butter Pecan on way home.

Then new TSC in Canal Fulton for 30% vinegar for Woman … which they did not have … 🤬

Heading up to the shop here in a few for some clean up and organizing after I change out out of the good duds.

Good morning, 49 going to 73 wind gusts to 13 MPH

Up way too early. Cramp in one leg. Wife is sleeping and I hope she can get some more rest after the adjustments in her medications. Her doctor is also the chair of the committee for our state for Covid vaccinations. He said that new covid boosters will be available in the fall for the new strains and said to wait for that before getting the next one. For her to get vaccinated she has to be off her other meds for two weeks with a lot of resultant pain.

Used the tractor yesterday to work on the area next to the pond again and cleared out a bunch of good sized rocks. Ran over it again with the tiller and more big rocks showed up and got them too. Off loaded them on the creek embankment to help with erosion.

Mowed some grass but did not finish it . More today to get done. One of our neighbors on his mower stopped to chat. He recently put up a 40 by 60 pole barn and long driveway to it. He is also into working on cars and equipment so we share stories about that. He has a new Toro ZT that he maintains in pristine condition.

Daughter had her dinner with her mentor yesterday in Parish. Her mentor is also a farm girl raised in the midwest so they have a common bond. Daughter always helped with he goats and remember her wrestling 100 lb male Alpine goats by the horns. Much like you see how cowboys take down calfs for branding.

Kilroy, your skills are improving. Only 30 mins for a big stump is great

Drew, there are fiberglass repair kits to repair that crack. Rough edges are good for bonding just don't get dirt in it. If you do sand it out before glassing. Use the fiber mat to stuff in hole if hollow cavity is there. Wet the mat first with resin. Sand lightly by hand. Use a block sander and there are curved ones too if needed. Angle grinders can ruin it really quick if not careful

David, you have been working hard on that power washing. Looks like you are almost done. Some of our kids thinks the equipment around here is all old junk. I will leave it at that since they are not inheriting it anyway

Poured a hot cup of coffee. 32° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 72° with warm sunshine. Grocery shopping went good. Lots of product on the shelves. First coat of paint on trailer deck went on without problems. Cleaned up pole barn so it will be easier to find things. Will see how that goes next time I need something. Neighbor called with a problem getting his pool heater running. With help of another neighbor found pilot light was bad. Ordered new one off Amazon. Will put second coat of paint on trailer deck today and mow grass. Install new pilot light in neighbors pool heater if it comes in early enough.
The lookout.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
a chilly 43 in Upper Black Eddy PA this morning but going up to 73 in beautiful weather.
single electric heater in rv kept it plenty warm with heater set on low.
lot of stuff to stow away before I can leave. And I'm in no hurry, have until noon.

Ron you have been fixing a lot of stuff lately. Nice to help a neighbor. I'm sure there will be something on the rv you can work on.
I have the repair cloth but not sure how much of it to use if any. That pic makes the hole look worse than it is. A bead of repair caulk down the middle evened out will bring hole up to grade, then I thought a nice top layer I could sand carefully. Lots of blue tape to make sure nothing else gets scuffed up.

I may not have wanted to put that tail light back together, but this I sure do. If I do a crappy job I can always go to the body shop that fixed my truck, but I think if I'm careful and take my time I can do this.
have lots of fine sandpaper.
step one:
step two, biscuit is the right color
step three, before I get to it, and after if I mess it up...

thanks for reminder about drilling ends of cracks. I'll do that.
cracks, consider yourself terminated.

nice and quiet this morning. Sure wasn't last night when first of weekend crowd showed up with barking dog and two small screaming kids, about 50 feet behind my bedroom. Thankfully they fell asleep and so did I.
time to go home and let the families have fun.
