very scary plowhog
heading into California this weekend, going to be interesting in
many, many ways...
I hope I don't have to use the HEPA air filter I brought with me

night low in Truckee is 33 degrees, whoa

this afternoon I arrive at Rivers Edge campground near Casper WY.
need to do my laundry and this is a full facilities "resort", resort meaning they have a pool. Going to walk over and check out the North Platte River

I"m not sure but think I"ve inherited a critter onboard.
I keep hearing funny little noises.
makes me wonder what is chewing on wires, ...

good morning, 50 going to 75

Worked on repairs to a door and took off a lock set that a key was lost for. Prepared the area inside for the new stove coming next week. Did not get to greasing the equipment

welcome Oldbinder, that should keep you going for awhile

sitting here in contemplation, at that rare karma spot where nothing is broken on your rv...and I'm a week out from seeing my sister and her two kids and their two kids. Second cup of coffee down, nibbled on some fruit, and my coffee mug shows my mood.

Morning all, 50 going to 78, sun is up.
More cleanup and trip to look at arbors, not much to see as most at the plants places are metal and we are looking for wood, and not too costly. Need to at least look similar to the one we have at the front entrance to garden to replace a metal hoop on the exit from the garden to behind the garage.

One of the garage doors started opening by itself, found one of the single hinges broke and middle of door was moving out a bit, slacked off close height for now and ordered new hinge.

Plowhog - hope the fire does not get to you and gets contained.

We have a new box turtle wandering around, moved from middle of road to forest. See too many flat ones already. It was not happy to see my dog though.

box turtles are wonderful and very pretty animals
have to be careful with them but nothing like snapping turtle.
I had to use my umbrella fully opened to shoo a snapper off the road and it hissed and tried to bite the umbrella. I sure wasn't getting any closer, lose a finger.

in my home town area the local Indians were the Lenapes and their local tribe was the Turtle Clan. I keep that in mind when seeing turtles on the road, probably bad karma to run over one...

this is the piece that fell out of supply line manifold.
serves some function but ?

just went for long walk across campground, needed the exercise
It's an in line check valve. Possibly to prevent the on board pump from the tank from just pumping out the fresh water input (RV high pressure connection).

good morning all from Keystone SD. 54 out and nice inside, quiet without a/c.

Mostly, passed on the beer, but had an ice cream sandwich. There is zero sweet anything else in rv so I've been good. And have lost ten pounds in a month. Now I have cut up fruit in the morning for sweet and that's it.

I haven't been in a hot tub for over a year and if Don fires his up for me, I'm warning him I might not leave. And I did remember my bathing suit.

dry bathroom floor this morning, life is good. The only way to fix this plumbing is to rip it out and replace with pex. When I had my head squeezed inside that cabinet yesterday and could see not one but three fittings weeping water, geez what terrible construction. Four hose clamps later fixed, but no way this will last long. Truly born to fail.

since wifi seems to be working early with no one on, here's a pic of the plumbing showing the pex style crimp on top of a regular soft plastic hose.
some bean counters must have figured out they can put this together faster than pex. And it lasts for three or four years till that crimp loosens from vibration and no way to tighten it.

today's high end utv's are the size of small cars
Good luck with the hoses, is the crimp ear fully closed or could crimping pliers get just a bit more?

Many of those UTV's cost more than a small car :)
