Good morning, the low is 54 and going to a high of 82°F. Wind E 4 mph. Sunny!

Junior goes to the quack this morning and while he is away I will change the anti-freeze in the Kioti. I have 2 empty 1 gallon containers I can drain the old stuff into.

BEF, thank you.

If I had that busted chain, I would take a grade 8 1/4" or 5/16" bolt with 2 flat washers and patch it up so I could continue dragging trees. Or if one section is shorter that the other just move the hook to the longer of the two sections.

Ron, nice moon.

I gotta get on amazon and order me a bike lock. I have been forgetting about it. Pitter, patter I better get at 'er.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning
62° with a high in the middle 70’s and no rain.

Yesterday was another busy day. I moved a lot of dirt with the loader on the L6060, spreading it around the building, today the hand work starts grading it and picking rocks.
We made the executive decision that the mantle was too green to use. It was drying out nicely on the surface, but the center after a cut was still 25%. So I went to a reclaimer and picked out a hand hewn beam. I pressure washed it and then we put it on the mill to square the back to make it easier to install.

As a plus, this one is also a lot lighter than the green one.

Kitchen cabinets were delivered yesterday, they get installed today. We ripped 6 sheets of MDF for closet shelving using the track saw on horses outside. That stuff sure makes a lot of dust.

Today won’t be any slower paced. I’ve got help coming to shovel and rake the soil that I moved with the tractor, masons are doing the stone work to set the mantle, kitchen is getting installed, trim carpenters are working on the closets, and the cedar siding might happen if they can work around the landscapers.
And to top it off the prospective turboprop buyer’s mechanic is coming to review log books and maintenance records.
Other than that it should be easy to stay busy.

good morning all
up too early in Greenbrae CA, about 55 out, going up to 70 in nice weather.
coffee pot making its final gurgles, but I've learned to wait, this little rv coffee pot is a dripper, when you take the pot out, it leaks all over unless you wait until done, not like the one at home.

slept well last night, I think pretty relieved to actually be here.
Sister coming over today and we will just veg out at her house.
Want to go for walk down to beach, which I'm told is quite a hike, and I really want to fly the drone there if not too much fog.
I also have a lot of laundry to take with me, she just laughed when I asked if I should bring my quarters...

very disappointing yesterday that when I drove to the California Ag museum, it was closed. Big sign, special event, so sorry. oh well

change of plans on that mantle seems wise Popgadget, you would not have liked seeing a big crack form in that first one as it finally dried out, all perfectly installed too. Now you need to find a fun purpose for the first one.

hope you all have a good Tuesday.

Good Morning,
Ct, 56 to start going to 79 or so ! Cloudy start with sun expected to burn through later ! Kathleen and I spent some time in the hot tub last night, very relaxing!

Ron, enjoy lunch with your sister !

Guy next to me from Austria, just came in after renting it in LA and winding up here right next to me
Drew, good chance to practice your Deutsch sprachen ! 😉

Scott, closing the pool...sad time I bet.
Wngsprd, yes it’s sad, but unfortunately the hot tub is built into the pool so I have to close the whole thing down ! Probably Friday ! 😒

Dennis, glad to hear you didn’t do more damage to your mower !

Today we are getting a new slide in range from PC Richard’s ! We only had the GE Profile range for 9 years and the burners on the left side died ! Prices are crazy today ! Wife’s car needs new tires, Honda CRV, so between stove and tires we just went through about $3000 ! Hoping for good COLA on the SS this year ! 😉

Hope all have a good day ! 🙏

Morning all, 64 going up to 78 and cloudy, no rain :-(
Wandered around , cleaned leaves out of pool, getting ready for close.

Frustrated I can't do any heavy outside work, but short term, so no biggy.

Paul/PoGadget - That will make a pretty impressive mantle! Keeping busy is quite the understatement.

be well,

Play time. This family group has been wandering through here for the last few months.

Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 6:30AM. Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 78F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Kinda hoping RNG fires up his smoker...
I will bring him a six pack of Mexican beer along with another surprise,
and we can be happy full Anglos
and toast to a launch out of Vanderbilt AF base
RNG, arrange that please, about 7pm ;)
Ribs, smoked. Got it. If I burn 'em, better keep some of those meatballs handy in your freezer.🤣 The launch schedule is a little vague on September dates, but will firm up as we get closer. Just be careful what you wish for, as the tendency is toward very loud launches in the wee hours of the morning. And if they land the booster at Vandenberg, throw in a sonic boom for good measure.

Still going around trying to get a new prescription filled through Medicare. The plan I have insists on using Express-Scripts, and they want $350 for a 90 day supply. The Costco mail order pharmacy gets $65 for the same thing. The first prescription attempt went to Costco, but they refused it because they weren't on the preferred list for the plan. So I had the doctor send it to Express-Scripts, and got that eye opening surprise. The ultimate fix is to change plans during open enrollment, but until then I used the chat feature at the Costco website to arrange payment on a credit card so Costco will fill the prescription after all.

Then I tried to find a local supplier for the well controller, which led to a chain of calls with no one having it. So now I'm back to trying Amazon one more time, and getting it delivered down south, and hoping they don't lose it again.

The neighbor did come down with his big backhoe, but couldn't cross a small ditch to push down the big Digger Pine that's leaning over the front gate. He's working on a plan B, but he had no trouble pushing over the dead oak that was leaning over the backhoe attachment. The root ball on that one was very shallow, and it went over almost without a fight. I'll get a chain on it later today and see if I can find room for it on the burn pile.

Still have one more four-way switch set to suss out today, as my efforts yesterday were met with late day confusion. But I did get a couple pallets of firewood loaded into the van, and reassurances that someone will come up from Nevada City today to pick up another eight of them. Sez he only needs to make one trip, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Some leaves here are just turning brown and falling off. Maples have few spots of color fear our drought will make leaf peeping poor this year and two to three weeks early
