Good Morning!!!! 79F @ 7:45AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 98F. Winds light and variable.

Welcome back, Irv. You started something big all those years ago!

The bigger driving pulley will cause the belt to go faster, Bill. It has a larger circumference, and so passes a longer distance on to the belt in a given amount of time.

If you don't already have a fire ring, Paul, that rock would make a good one.

Took another stab at the wall switches in the great room yesterday, but still not clear on what wires are connected to which switches and lights. Wish I'd taken pictures fourteen years ago when I put the smart switches in. Turns out they were smarter than me.

I also struck out at cleaning out the water heater. The drain valve doesn't have a through hole, so I couldn't even get a small wire through it, and no scale came out when I drained it. So it'll continue to gurgle and pop when it's feeding hot water; something for the new owner to upgrade if it bothers them.

Found an almost full bucket of hydraulic oil I used to top off the wood splitter. Gonna take it south tomorrow and see if the guy that bought the splitter wants it. Still have a little more packing to do, then a run into town to pick up a can of spray paint mixed to match a part of the auger I repaired. Tractor supply sells two different yellow implement paints, and neither one matched, so I'll return those, too. Also need to stop by the junk yard and dump off the old gutters and some aluminum. Might even get enough money back for a little Diesel fuel.

Good morning! Low of 46°, heading up to 80°, sunny. Great weather for the balloon fiasco.

Phil, as usual, amazing turnings! Definitely like the lighthouse.

LFN, RNG is correct, it will speed up the drive. But, it will also reduce power. That may or may not be an issue depending on how much power the motor has to begin with.

Drew, you didn't ask me to put on the NM sticker....now you have to come back.....

Paul, concrete looks great! I'm sure you will find a use for the rock.

Buppies, it's great that the wifey helped with the mowing. Looks beautiful for sure!

I'm off to PT here in a bit. Hopefully an "easy" treatment.... the knee is still complaining about the last session.

Probably nothing else on the agenda this afternoon. Maybe a nap.....

Everyone have a great day!

66°F and 0 rain

Got carried away with the mower deck yesterday. Blades looked really good and barely required a touch up but underside of the deck was on the rough side. Some of the old mowings needed to be scraped off. A good power washing followed by cleaning with a bristled brush and another power washing and it was clean. But boy was paint in very bad shape even non existent. No choice, had to repaint. 2 coats of rattle can black and it’s looking quite good. Has anyone ever tried that bed liner texture on a mower? I considered it for a bit but went conventional. I suspect when I change blades again it’ll need a repaint.

Sophie has ophthalmologist follow-up this morning. Hoping for continued good news.

Zoom Happy Hour was world wide event. Hawai’i, Bangkok, Wisconsin, Canadian, LA. Good to get caught up

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

good morning, 64 and sunny

Picked up groceries and prescription

Redid some unsightly wiring around the house battery on the van. The heat shrink connectors are great

Found the right beam to jack up and the doors on the second level and third level are now opening without binding.
The beam supports a two story wall above
Now to come up with a permanent solution will take some time to think about what may be best
The beam above the doorway is sagging and the wall beam rest on that one and not easily replaced
Maybe fabricate a steel support beam to sandwich it and bolted with treaded through rods?

RNG, Pop and LS, thanks.

Just got back in from servicing the tractor. 5 Litres of Rotella T4 10W30 and a oil filter. I pushed up the wood pile to warm it and the oil up. AND I did it all by myself. Yes I am going to break my arm patting myself on the back. :D Junior went to town for some groceries that he forgot when we were in North Bay. Part of what he forgot was crushed pineapple. He used chunked pineapple run through a blender for the last loaf of pineapple bread and there is very little flavour. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. The bread is still good.

We are doing ham for CDN thanksgiving, that is sometime this month. A large chicken for Christmas.

So far, accomplished nothing for today. Wife went to help her mom do yard work the next few days. My brother took more hydraulic oil to Dad's for the L5030. Think the leak is the PTO seal. Dad thought it needed more, but he can't see well enough to know.
