It is a PITA to digitize vinyl. I have done it a few times with Audacity. It takes about 5 times longer then just putting the album on and you lose sound quality!

I digitize albums by buying the CD. I still have most of my albums on cassette tape though, but haven't played a tape in years. probably haven't played an album in years. Most of my albums have been played few times, I'd record to tape then play the tape.
years ago someone gave me a large quantity of CD's of mostly 70s rock. I put them on a little USB stick, and we listen to them in the car. I also put them on my NAS, along with pictures and videos, but we just never use the NAS. My wife prefers to throw on a CD, I have a lot of music on my Iphone. That and bluetooth headphones when I mow..

One thing we noticed last month on our trip to TN from ID is we really would rather travel with our own Bed and meals rather than eating out all the time! Not to mention having your own rest room behind you! We used to motel all the time not so much now with an RV.

My nephew is near Idaho Falls. He was working in Ohio, and one day said he's moving west and went to Idaho. Some gorgeous scenery there.
He recently took a motorcycle camping trip up over beartooth highway out of NE yellowstone, which looks like is already closed now for the winter..

So what's some good things to see in ID? I would like to see some old lava fields.

Anyone visit Teddy Roosevelt Nat Park in ND? What is there to do there? That is my excuse for visiting ND.

When I retired in 2004 thought it would be great to stay in motels while traveling. It was convenient. But eating out got expensive. After catching some kind illness twice in 2006. Started looking for a RV. Bought a 35’ super C. No more sickness. Plus as you have stated the convenience of having your home with you. One thing I did different than Drew. I flat towed a car where ever I went. I purchased Golden Age Passport which gives free access to National parks and 1/2 off for camping. Stayed in some very nice Corp Of Engineers parks. When I bought it was $10. Today I believe it is $80.

I have the Senior park passport now, was $80.
I might consider getting a small van type RV, one that self levels like drew has, so I don't have to pull, and I don't have to manually level every day. the problem is they don't have a nice bathroom. Saw several on the skyline drive the other day. I don't want to have to do a lot of cooking while traveling.

We used the motorhome as a van essentially for trips around town or travel. Traveling with kids it saved a lot of time looking for bathrooms. Usually flat towed a 15 passenger van for longer trips to make it more convenient to leave the motor home hooked up at camp grounds for short trips. Van was set up with drive shaft disconnect and tow bar that actuated the van brakes

67°F and no rain

Yesterday went pretty much as expected. More an interview than an exam. No turn your head and cough or bend over. He did listen with a stethoscope and review the months log of BP readings I brought in and issue a prescription. Lab was on lunch break when finished so I got stuck for blood tests just before Happy Hour.

Happy Hour was good. Traveling friends back from Japan and regaled us of their adventures.

Happy Birthday Dennis !

Ran into a bit of a snag this morning trying to lay out the arms for the rockers. I needed a deep throat clamp to hold the front of the arm to the front leg and I didn’t have one ! So I was able to balance my cast iron kettle from my shop stove so I could get the angles positioned to the back leg !
Not ideal but I managed to get it to work !

I’m thinking it’s time for a break before I screw something up !

Mostly, Pals is drive thru only.

I did notice a lot of flies outside of that bedroom on the siding. Not sure why so many outside on the siding, and not at other windows.

Fun trip to plan. Taking the truck is 10 mpg vs 30 mpg. for 7550 miles (I cut out Glacier and TX) at $4 per gallon it's $1000 vs $3000 to take the truck, so 2k more to haul the camper. Now to price out an average camp site versus hotel. Right now for estimate purposes I chose $200 night average for a hotel. Should be able to beat that. We do not want to go in summer, we prefer sept - oct, which can make yellowstone and northern items interesting. could go spring, but then the northern stuff might still be snowed in. want to avoid the main tourist season.

If I can average $150 night for hotels it will beat taking the camper, cause at $50 a night for camping that will add another 1k to the truck cost.

In canada I've been in BC, AL and ON, but did not drive, I was a passenger.

The problem with National parks now, is they are so crowded there are lottery systems just to get in some. Would hate to got up to glacier, then find out I can't get in .. Also want to visit canyon land and arches in Utah.

Had a 24ft Class C Ford for about 3 years after Sophie’s accident. It was really nice when we made those long drives up the east coast. The dogs really loved it and had their favorite places to ride. The best was not having to stay in my parents smoke filled house when we went to Maine. Only tried the camping aspect a couple times and never really got into it. Perhaps if we did a tow vehicle? We sold before coming to Hawaii.
