Good morning TBN! 50 this morning going to about 68 with the sun to return this afternoon.

Yesterday went in a different direction the anticipated. Planned on working on the buggy wiring and needed a battery.

Back in the spring my grandkids blew the motor on a 4 wheeler and it pissed me off so I just parked it and left it alone. I went to rob the battery. I had had a nagging thought about that blown motor because although I thought it was blown but there was no oil to be found under it but there was no compression.

Before I disabled it any more I took a closer look. Knowing there wasn't any compression I checked the most obvious. The spark plug. And low and behold I found a hole and no plug!! Put it in the garage instead of the buggy and had it running in 10 minutes. But then I heard a noise. Suspected the starter. Turned it off and I was right. It was the starter, because it was till spinning after I shut it off and continued until I unhooked the battery. Spent some time trying to chase down the problem and eventually ordered a starter relay and called it a day

Very nice surprise that it's still good to go.

So the buggy will wait a couple more days until the work bay is empty.

Not sure of the agenda today yet but that is the beauty of retirement

Ct, 32 to start going to 58 ! Looks to ba another beautiful fall day but we really need rain ! Not the kind that cause floods but a nice gentle rain for a few hours !

Stomach bug continues and I will try and get into doctors office today for some type of meds ! Or as Bill would say, I’m going into the Quacks office for some meds !

Morning all;
A cool night last night down to 36F only calling for a high of 51 today and mid 50's tomorrow then 70's and high 70's Thursday then cooling back down.
It appears that my good post button is not working this morning, a bit strange.

Just finishing my second cup of coffee and am leaning towards a third a bit later, that will keep me active and moving all morning.
About time to get going on winterization projects, new tarp on the sand pile, greasing up the tractors and snow equipment.

Good afternoon for late posting today.
Freeze warning this morning and did get the hoses blown out with air and moved watering and hose sprayers inside. Also remembered to blow out the pressure washer

Stacked the remaining fire wood below the overhang at the barn. Need to make it lean into the wall a little more. So next is to use the sledge to correct the lean. More splitting is now on the agenda again.

A new chain saw is moving further up on the agenda as well. Stihl 261 and 400 models under consideration. Have a 20 inch bar and chain so may get the 261 with a 16 inch light weight bar and switch to 20 inch when needed.

Early morning in Hanoi now and she is leaving for Vientiane
