Morning all, 65 going to 75, cloudy, no rain.

So it seems the engine is trashed on wifes car. Calling scrap places to come get it.
We were hoping to get another 5 years out of it. Now she is shopping for our next used car.
Really bad timing as need to keep putting money away for sons college.

Seems my retirement moved farther away again.

BEF - now that sounds like a great visit!

Weirdly enough, still getting blackberries and tomatoes in November...

Happy birthday Scotty!

Be well,

Hornets nest wonder if I can get it with pellet gun? Only about 70-80 feet up!

Good morning! 66˚F heading to the upper 70s with an East wind and chance of rain.
The KIA is at the shop waiting on the evaporator coil, should get it back next week, so we have to work with one vehicle for a week.

The Tempest weather station's battery is reporting a good state today with the full sun it received all day yesterday. As soon as it clouds up a day and the battery gets weak it will read ECO and go off line. Support will send out a new weather station for half price since they also think something went bad with the charger or battery and it is not under warranty. The half price deal is called the legacy program and is good for 10 years, the full warranty is only for two years. The new half price station will come with a full 2 year warranty.

Rigby wanted out at 4:15 but I was already up. A crisp 21 degrees outside so he expedited "taking care of business" lol .....

I need to trim off the tops of fence posts from Rigby's new cedar backyard fence. The posts are steel pole, wrapped with cedar. Not exactly sure how to get a straight cut but I think I might make a small jig out of some angle iron. I have 29 post tops to cut and want them to be straight.

Everyone have a great day !!!

wife’s cousin son now run their farm, and live at the farmhouse. Her cousin bought an old house down the road, they rented it out for awhile before they moved from the farm.
They remodeled it, and wow, it is beautiful inside. Nice big modern kitchen, nice living room, huge front porch with a 10 or 12 ft picnic table. Beautiful view of the valley and mountains from the front. I think he said this had 70 acres. They plant corn in front fields, woods up the mountain behind them. They tore off an old back porch and built new 1st floor bath, handicapped accessible except a ramp to get in the back door. 1st floor bedroom. They got married a month after my wife and I, but they are a little older.

Good Morning
60° and overcast when I woke up, forecast to be clear and 70. Already sunny.

Election Day I had to a trip to Raleigh that returned Wednesday. We arrived there about 9am so we had a whole day to kill. Had a nice lunch downtown, then walked to the Natural Science Museum for something to do.

We left by 11am, was back at Philly by noon for lunch at Mission BBQ.
Had a nice view of Washington DC as well as Philadelphia along the way.

Typing this on my phone at the DMV as I wait to get a new DL. Already had breakfast with the professor and checked on an electrical job at an airport property.
Not sure what I’ll do when I get out of this purgatory.

good morning all
house warm this morning, low 60's out going up to mid 70's. Very nice Fall weather but
we sure could use some rain.
taking rv to shop this morning, friends who live in Lederach will pick me up and we'll go back to New Hope and have
brunch at Duck Soup in New Hope, nice cafe with good food.

Dennis, that's a wonderful picture.

hope to keep working on shed this afternoon. I have a solar powered light to install inside.
very pleased with how well this shed is made, even the two windows operate smoothly and are nice quality.
Now I paid hundreds extra to get those heavy duty barn hinges, but the rest of the hardware is good.
The two foot deep potting bench on one end was well supported on one end, but not the other other, so i reinforced it
all with heavy brackets.

quickly became clear that an 8x12 shed will not hold all my stuff. I just don't use the Club Car golf cart enough and on a one acre lot, I should be walking anyway. Although yesterday it did help with hauling limbs but I can pull a little wagon also.
anyone on East Coast need a really nice golf cart with pickup bed in back? I might deliver...
not free but reasonable and cart looks like new

got word back from my friends with cabin in Arkville NY he would be ecstatic to get my Gravely tractor, and promised it would be well taken care of and always garaged. Not sure when I can haul it up there

big batch of blackberries ripening, hope I get them before birds do.
Sent you a PM Drew

Good morning! .... well maybe.... depends on how you look at it.....

12" of snow overnight, another 12" throughout the day, and to top it off.... another 6" tonight!
That's 30" total! I believe a record for this time of year. Didn't expect this. The guessers upped the amount yesterday afternoon.

IMG_1461.jpegIMG_1460.jpegIMG_1459.jpegIMG_1462.jpeg

Current temp is 27°, going up to a whopping 31°. Still snowing, heavy wet stuff. I spotted a couple of broken branches already. Trees are really bending over. Power has gone out multiple times, but only for a few minutes each time. Hopefully no long term outages happen.

I know what I will be doing over the next day or so..... digging out and plowing.

Dona is still struggling with the back, but at least she has some pain meds now. Lots of Dr. hopping is scheduled.... a CT scan and MRI scheduled next week. Then a meeting with the surgeon the following week.... not going to be easy for her.

Each trip is an hour each way. Lots of driving is in store. Not as bad as Riptides though.

OK, lost power 2 more times while typing this.... only took over an hour....

Making dog food today. Should be interesting grinding in between power outages.

Everyone have a great day!

65°F and .07 inches rain Successful

Yesterday took and unwanted turn.
Apparently wrenched my back getting my tractor unstuck. By the time I finished my morning bike I could barely walk and the pain had spread across my back to left side. Hopefully just a coincidence and not a side effect of the Losartan BP meds. At this point this morning still there but less. This aging thing has its challenges.

Hand & Foot this afternoon

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
