Good morning!!!!

Morning all, 49 going up to 68 and sunny, dry
Drought warnings across the river in NJ.

Spent a few hours doing pick up sticks and cutting up some branches. So much more to go.

It's a 330i xdrive. Beutiful, but way too complex with all the circuitry, HUD, etc. But it corners really flat with the new suspension. But if something ever breaks......

It's so dry here I bet I could light the lawn or woods by rubbing 2 sticks together.

Had first fire in the fireplace though last night.

Be well,

Moon on the morning dog walk.

BEF, glad your found the right minister. Prayers it all works out.

Here's the current FIRE map...Nothing in MD...
One of the Karens on FB showed a drought map for MD, apparently the middle, where I live, is at normal. The risk is far western MD and Eastern Shore. Too bad there isn't some way to break the state up into geographical regions, and only apply a burn ban to area's that need it. If only there was some dividing lines, like counties..........

I bet i couldn't start the grass on fire if I took a propane torch to it. And propane fires are legal with the ban.

I selected a new health plan that is eligible for Medicare Advantage. Seems I'll be signing up soon.

I had sinus headache all night. Wife is coughing around, and afraid I'll be next.
I am going to try to make a Costco run today.

Drew, drive safe.
Thanks Bill.
home sweet home
4 hours 15 minutes taking route 50 out to 81 in Winchester and just setting the cruise.
runs into 78 and I took that a little ways and decided to skip the toll on the PA Turnpike NE extension
and went a little further to 309 South. Which in 10 miles gets to Quakertown and then home, waving at Popgadget's
beautiful yellow mailbox as I went by.

got stuck behind some ancient woman on 313 driving an old silver MB 300TD wagon doing 35 in the 45 where everyone does 50.
What a line of traffic. And of course that's when four hours of driving and my bladder were on an unhappy course.
got to go and turn lady, turn! and eventually she did to the left and I got a look at her.

getting to the end, I started going faster than normal, had to slow myself down.
and when I did that, 30 seconds later PA state trooper passed me. I was only doing 10 over but who knows how
bad a day he/she had.

pretty tuckered out, strange chairs and bed aggravated my back and my neck hurts from driving.

need to go out and blow leaves off the walkways. Still a little more to come down.

had to chuckle today when I looked down and I was doing 90 after passing someone, just floored it, like I was used to doing in the rv.... :cautious:
and sometimes after some trucker dawdles in the left lane for no good reason, likely on the phone, on flat land, and when he/she finally gets over after clogging up the interstate for miles and miles well sometimes you just want to put your foot in it.
Which is of course when you pass the radar.

Several times I could see folks who were following me, mimic'ing what I was doing. Likely I was doing the speed they wanted, particularly when they see I keep returning to the same speed as before, like 63 in a 55. Or 75 in a 70. Today I had a 5 or 7 series older BMW behind me, those grills all look pretty similar. Like Volvo grills...
So many heavy trucks on I-81 that on any kind of hill you have passing going on across the three lanes almost constantly.
I paid a lot of money two weeks ago to Volvo dealership to tune up that engine (I think the pack of four sparkplugs were 135 bucks)
and at least it ran fine. I had a tank of 93 Sunoco in it and let's say the carbon got cleaned out a few times today.

will have some pics later.

57°F and rain this morning, going up to 70° today. We were not expecting rain today. More boomers coming this evening, then dry the rest of the week. Cool front coming through Tuesday night, and we'll be down below freezing by the weekend, with highs in the 40s and 50s. Here it comes.

Need to get hoses drained, and set up the water and henhouse warmers for the chickens. Probably do the chicken stuff when I clean the coop this weekend.

Those little wagons are so handy, Ken. We use the daylights out of ours.

Good afternoon, gents.

64 which is the high for today

Went to Costco shopping. 675 dollars but got some gifts for kids on the list wife gave me plus some supplies for the house

Tires are mounted on the truck however they managed to make a big deep scratch in one of the rims. New one on order. The solid aluminum Alcoa style wheels are not cheap

Took the van out of the repair bay and it went wonky surging limping etc. Code for over boost turbo charger. Lots of head scratching but decided to clean the wire harness connectors for the mas airflow on the air inlet box. Used some electronic type clean up spray and bingo it worked
Ran great going to Costco but still have to deal with the fuel leak

Good Afternoon
Today is another wonderful day to be outside.
Of course I started it with an 8am MOHS appointment. Fortunately I only had one basal cell carcinoma for them to deal with. Other biopsies were benign. Got home and puttered in the shop, replaced the starter/generator belt on the carryall, it needs an oil change, but that will wait for another day.
Anesthetic has worn off, uncomfortable, but not painful. But not very energetic either.
Oddfellows meeting tonight, not much else planned.
