Good morning TBN!!
34 this morning . Push 80 under full sun later.
Hmm. I think I missed posting yesterday. You didn't miss much here at the Lazy L.
Been working on making my shop kinda portable. I have been trying various options for cutting the tank to see what I like best. Went to HF to get a Sawzall as battery power won't work and that's all I had.
It works but would take forever. Then I tried my 41/2" cuttoff. It was a bit faster but had it burn up. Literally. Flamed out in my hands. A first for me. Next up the torch. Did well and maybe the way I go for at least some of it. I have to consider fuel with the torch though. Last up was the plasma cutter. It will probably be my first choice. Had a bad ground and a split hose I didn't know about. It cut reasonably well anyway. Will try that again today after correction the issues. One way or another there will be a lot of time going in to it.
Got plenty of steps in except these steps tend to start and end with getting on or off the tractor!!
Wife off to HF to get me a new cutoff this morning.
Today HF has 30% off all grinders. Bigger ones, smaller ones and bench grinders. I may get 2 :)
Getting light and warming up so

Time for a second cup. Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Loaded grain into the barn, did the service call, and got the pork belly smoked. Didn’t get it out of the smoker until 11 pm though.

Today I’ve got to drive to Allentown and fly with the pilot for the guy that bought one of our Cheyenne 400’s.

Not sure how long that will take, but I’m budgeting the whole day.

Good morning! 67˚F heading to the upper 70 with NW wind and sunny skies, cold front is blowing in after yesterday's 80s.

The "Farm" had a decent crowd yesterday with spring break this week. Baby animals is still the drawing event till Mother's Day.
The "Farm" is planting two new Christmas tree fields and hooking up a new irrigation system to them.

the Tulip field is spent and dying from the heat. The 200,000 tulips bulbs will not be salvaged for next years crop they will rot in the field. Talking to the owner she explained the steps to harvest bulbs and cold store them for transplant and it was time and labor extensive and not practical in the Texas heat.

The new pool pump computer board is bad and I'll be on the phone today.

The painters started spray washing the house last night in prep to start painting this morning.

Remember the Dig World I posted a few days ago, They are expanding with help from the TV show Shark Tank.

Hang in there Buppies, always good to hear from you.

Good Morning!!!! 41F @ 5:00AM. Partly cloudy early then becoming cloudy with periods of rain this afternoon. High 53F. Winds SE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%.
A closer look at the hourly forecast seems to indicate the rain won't get here until almost quittin' time. So another day for productive outdoor activities, like working on the fire truck. Yesterday, Drew, I installed a barbed fitting into the drain hole of the old gas tank and hooked up a 20' length of fuel line, then crawled around under the truck threading it to the engine compartment. I thought I'd brought a ton of zip ties to secure it, but in the jumbled mess of the van, couldn't find 'em. More on that later.
Very simple controls which is what I like. However it cost 3 times the cheapest one
I looked at Speed Queen when I was shopping for a new washer/dryer combo last year. Couldn't find anywhere I could go and see one, and the price, as you mentioned, was all out of proportion with what you got. The LG combo at the old house is fifteen years old and still going strong, so I ordered the current equivalent LG combo from HD and had them in a week. If the jerk delivery guys hadn't dented the dryer, that would have been the end of the story. Had to wait for a replacement, which took another week. Fingers crossed the new ones hold up like the old ones. You never know these days, and the reliability ratings of all the makes I checked were mediocre at best.

That's a tough row to hoe, Buppies. Hope you get some good news on a path forward from the doctors today.

Realtor showed up right on time yesterday morning and got busy hiding stuff from sight for the photographer. He even ran the sweeper and dusted the kitchen counter! The photo guy was pretty young, toted a massive digital camera and a non-DJI drone, and spent three or four hours wandering around shooting. I stayed out of the way fininshing off the gravel pile by spreading it on the driveway. Made kind of a muddy mess as the gravel was wet, as were some spots on the driveway, but rolling over it with the tractor and then back dragging with the bucket had it looking OK, but not perfect. Don't really need any more rain at this point, but I don't think the forecasted 0.1" will do any harm.

Monkeyed with the fire truck for a couple hours, but stopped when I couldn't find the zip ties I needed. Switched over to spreading Preen pre-emergent, and got all 60 lbs. put out. That got me over 10,000 steps for the day, but I wasn't quite done. The photographer came back at about 7 PM to work in the sunset "golden hour", and after that I had to un-hide all the stuff from this morning. Pizza, a salad, and a beer was a very late dinner.

Realtor comes back this morning to pick up a signed listing agreement, which I've neither read nor signed yet, so that's #1 on today's list. Probably spend the rest of the day back on the firetruck. All the fooling around with lights for the photographer shows I haven't gotten all the bugs out yet, so will have to make some time for them, too.

Happy Hump Day, folks...

Watched the splash down and recovery. Was amazing...happy for the rescued astronauts.

101...wow! Will you get a recording of the TV interview?
It’s online, so I recorded off my computer screen. But they managed to get several things wrong, like wrong day for his bday, they said he was drafted when he had enlisted. But still nice interview and story.

Morning all, 35 up to 70 and sunny.
More paperwork and calls today, going ok so far.

Did call dads GF and did not go too bad, she is still in shock, so we feel for her.

Buppies - hope Dr. visits go great. Now that the Mrs. has Dr help, hoping that reduces her and your anxiety. We can certainly listen and understand that this is emotional, praying for good outcomes.

Wngsprd - can't believe Della is a year old. Glad she loves the trails and you have a great companion.

101 - not many make it and his ability to go through interviews shows some really good genes and great his mental capacity is still so good.

More paperwork, accountants etc. Glad my brother is helping and doing a lot of the big stuff.

Did not get any time to be out in the yard, maybe today to get some tree parts moved, maybe even split some wood. Did prep one large trunk that I may plank. Still need to finish join for the table I am making for my friend. Ordered a punch and chisel set from Northern tool. Wood chisels I have not very good on metal :)

Be well

Back from the town/vampire run. Washed the salt off the Dodge and did a crappy job of it when you look close. A 60 mph wash job.
I have never known what my blood type is other than some Blue mixed with Orange and Green. Mother was a 1st generation Canadian born of blue blood parents. I am 5th generation Orange/Green born right here in Ontario, Canada.
So I got them to check that too.

Hang in there Buppies.
