Good Morning!!!! 41F @ 5:00AM. Partly cloudy early then becoming cloudy with periods of rain this afternoon. High 53F. Winds SE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%.
A closer look at the hourly forecast seems to indicate the rain won't get here until almost quittin' time. So another day for productive outdoor activities, like working on the fire truck. Yesterday, Drew, I installed a barbed fitting into the drain hole of the old gas tank and hooked up a 20' length of fuel line, then crawled around under the truck threading it to the engine compartment. I thought I'd brought a ton of zip ties to secure it, but in the jumbled mess of the van, couldn't find 'em. More on that later.
Very simple controls which is what I like. However it cost 3 times the cheapest one
I looked at Speed Queen when I was shopping for a new washer/dryer combo last year. Couldn't find anywhere I could go and see one, and the price, as you mentioned, was all out of proportion with what you got. The LG combo at the old house is fifteen years old and still going strong, so I ordered the current equivalent LG combo from HD and had them in a week. If the jerk delivery guys hadn't dented the dryer, that would have been the end of the story. Had to wait for a replacement, which took another week. Fingers crossed the new ones hold up like the old ones. You never know these days, and the reliability ratings of all the makes I checked were mediocre at best.
That's a tough row to hoe, Buppies. Hope you get some good news on a path forward from the doctors today.
Realtor showed up right on time yesterday morning and got busy hiding stuff from sight for the photographer. He even ran the sweeper and dusted the kitchen counter! The photo guy was pretty young, toted a massive digital camera and a non-DJI drone, and spent three or four hours wandering around shooting. I stayed out of the way fininshing off the gravel pile by spreading it on the driveway. Made kind of a muddy mess as the gravel was wet, as were some spots on the driveway, but rolling over it with the tractor and then back dragging with the bucket had it looking OK, but not perfect. Don't really need any more rain at this point, but I don't think the forecasted 0.1" will do any harm.
Monkeyed with the fire truck for a couple hours, but stopped when I couldn't find the zip ties I needed. Switched over to spreading Preen pre-emergent, and got all 60 lbs. put out. That got me over 10,000 steps for the day, but I wasn't quite done. The photographer came back at about 7 PM to work in the sunset "golden hour", and after that I had to un-hide all the stuff from this morning. Pizza, a salad, and a beer was a very late dinner.
Realtor comes back this morning to pick up a signed listing agreement, which I've neither read nor signed yet, so that's #1 on today's list. Probably spend the rest of the day back on the firetruck. All the fooling around with lights for the photographer shows I haven't gotten all the bugs out yet, so will have to make some time for them, too.
Happy Hump Day, folks...
