Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #206,151
The only things I did today was confirmed the repairs for the Dodge (May 12th at 9), the repairs for the tractor (May 13th float to pick it up on the 12th) and sold $4000.oo worth of silver. My old foreman called me, he just came back up from Toronto on his way to Timmins...Got a tattoo of the Ford blue oval on his shin. Was supposed to cost him a grand, but when the girl that did it got done she only charged him 600.oo. He is a dyed in the wool Ford guy. I told him he should have gotten it tattooed on his butt. The 'F" on his left cheek and the 'rd' on his right. It would have cost him less. One less letter.
He told me that as of last January the train that got wrecked labour day 2023 is still sitting at the tow yard where it went after I unhooked from it.

Had a regular convention at the farm after they knocked down the electric line. They put the flags back up, that had been down, they raised the lines higher using temp poles. Our pole at the corn crib got knocked over when they hit the line.

The temp water line is already installed across the other side of the property. It's not the solid HDPE as I usually see.

At the far end of the field, they have exposed an older shallow well gas line. The yellow line is the approx property line there. They were supposed to put the logs down the right side of the treeline, they have then on the left, which will be on the other side when they start trenching.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
birds are chattering like mad out, get up! get up!

another warm day today, 50 now going up to 82
never called by dealer last night, but at least I have a rental.
they gave me a Ford Bronco Sport, the smaller of two Broncos, and it looked really nice,
and drove ok, but not a comfy ride. Stripper rental didn't have nav in it, and no automatic hvac.
guess they couldn't sell this one so put it in rental fleet. Dealer owns half the rental agency.

today is tomato planting day. Carefully looking at ten day forecast, lowest temp is 48
did not find any pattipan squash plants available, still a little early, want several of them for my one raised bed.

if my truck is fixed this morning, I'll go pick it up and go down to wash my rv. Lot of rain coming in tonight and tomorrow;
fallback is washing rv when rain stops on Sunday. I'm guessing they ordered parts which will come in today so I might not get truck
back. They were still at the dreaded No Problem Found when I talked to them last, though service writer did say one guy did hear something once.
Granted hard to fix an intermittent with no codes. I authorized recharging the a/c system; average cost I googled was 150-300 dollars to put that machine on it that sucks everything out and puts it all back in. Something tells me they will charge on the high end. If they can't fix this, pretty sure
I'll be trading this truck on something else, newer with less miles. Sad that a modern car at 70k miles has so many problems. Too bad, getting to like driving it but this back and forth to dealer is aggravating regardless of who is paying for it.
Right now my car is in the same timeout as David's LS.

Buckeye, thanks for all those pictures, most of us have never seen pipeline work.
almost like you want to tell them in the morning
try not to break anything today.... ;)

:)
45F cloudy day might reach 70F

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Last evening was the fourth time this week I saw NuBoo sleeping against pickup driver side front tire  hope he/she doesn't nibble on the tire stems, may have to spray tire with WD40 etc.

Plans for today...4 hours at part store, put new curtain shower rods, may try try straightening 4 driveway poles.

Enjoy your day all.

RNG is fine, just overwhelmed by move and unable to keep up with us.
I'm sure we'll hear from him soon.
wanted to make sure he wasn't tied up in a basement someplace...

Thomas, maybe spray tire stems with DeerOff?

Morning all! 50 going to a cloudy 75.
Spent the day outside yesterday.
Picked up lots of sticks. Dug out the mower and gave it a good going over. Figured I might as well get it mounted. I took off the snow blower and put it away till next season. Mower is attached and ready.
While the forks were on I swapped a bunch of wood around on my rack.
Put the bucket back on and cleaned up a few waste piles. Took a much needed siesta after that.

Still no joy on wife's tooth. They took an x-ray and made a mold then told her see you Monday.

Not sure what I will do today. Should do more outside as we have 2 days of rain forecast.
Gathering up all the loose pellets we have sitting around and will burn them all up today and shut down till fall. I will give it a good cleaning then pick up all the related stuff and store in the cellar.
Need to pressure wash the deck and cement pad. Maybe start that today. Need more coffee to decide!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Good morning, the low is 42 and going to a high of 50°F Wind ENE 7 gusting to 17 mph. Mostly cloudy.

Not much on the books for today, so I'll conserve energy.

BEF, which side of the cut the logs go on depends on your perspective. Standing face to face your right is my left. :)

Have a safe day all

Good morning! 68˚F, S wind, heading to the mid 80s. 0.04" rain yesterday.
Drew thanks for checking up on RNG.

Four schools and seven busses at the "Farm" yesterday, could not keep up but several hundred kids did get a tractor wagon ride. Nice surprise e-mail from the Farm advising me of a raise, nice to be appreciated. After work I used my employee 50% discount to pick 2 pounds of strawberries, They are good tasting but so many left in the field. I'll pick a few pounds each day that I work.
