wngsprd; I am so sorry for the loss of the family member. They leave pawprints on our hearts, that can never be erased. Their loss leaves a void, that only time can lessen, and even then, time is not always the great healer. You have my sympathy.

Sad day in our home today...Daisy, our 11 year old lab died last night.

Sorry for your loss. They sure do find a place in your heart. It hurts so bad to lose a good dog, I always tell myself I'm never getting another one. But there always seems to be one that comes along to replace the one that is gone.

yeah that was sure a big smile on his face with his hands straight up in the air, quite an accomplishment for a 19 year old.
Larro, did you ever decide what to do with that trailer that got squished by the tree?
boy we'd have six building and zoning inspectors out the next day up here....likely a bit more relaxed where you are.

Drew, I want to bring it up to the house and build a little shed over the squished part. My sister wanted to sell it for scrap. It was made in the 50's and does weigh a ton. The creek camp is so far in the woods, I doubt even the tax man knew the trailer was down there. And judging from the dead leaves on the tree, it had fell at least three weeks before I went down there and found it. My BIL is my go-to helper on jobs like this, and he is laid up with a knee operation. But I do need to do something with it soon.

Looking at the 10 day forecast, I'd say we're in for another very wet Spring. This may not be so good for those living in low-lying areas...especially with all the snow still yet to melt.

46 going to 57, not as nice as yesterday but way better than snow and cold!

Oh, wngsprd, that does hurt. So sorry to hear of ye loss. Our chocolate lab mix is about 9 now, I'm already wanting to get her a younger brother or sister to help us train.

Rain again here today, and very cool for April 6. Heat just came on... I've learned that I was born for the tropics.Year round summer. I don't even like spring and fall anynore.

wngsprd....My sincere sympathies to you on the loss of your beloved and beautiful pet...it's always difficult to say farewell because unlike the humans in our lives, our pets love us unconditionally and without reservation, one would think it gets easier to accept the loss as time goes by. but that rarely happens. Take comfort that Daisy knew she was cherished.
