Good morning, the low is 18 and going up to a lofty 25°F. Wind NNW 6 mph. Mainly cloudy. More snow coming tonight.

I don't plan on plowing today, but you never know.

Thomas, take it slow and easy. What you don't get done today can wait until you are feeling better.

When I was a young'un after thanksgiving Dad would slice up the rest of the turkey and we would have leftover turkey for a couple of days, then Dad would make soup out of the carcass. The cat got the boiled out bones if she wanted them.

I think today will be an energy conservation day, for sure.

Good Morning
29° and not a cloud in the sky. Supposed to stay that way all day, except the temp might get to 40.

Yesterday was a slow day of tinkering in the shop, got a text from my neighbor with the tree farm that he had a catering truck there. So I went over and had some brisket for lunch.

He was doing a booming business selling trees, I think he said he sold over 100 before lunchtime on opening day.


I learned a valuable lesson about putting my Swiss Army Knife in the ultrasonic tank to clean it. Don’t crank the heat up!

Fortunately, the 3D printer was pressed into service and I made some replacements. Even included the logo.

And for dinner, I got to enjoy the very best part of Thanksgiving. Turkey sandwiches on home made bread with stuffing and cranberry relish.

Finished the night off in front of a fire watching “how it’s made” episodes on YouTube.

Might want to take a covid test. My SIL caught it twice over the Summer/Fall and that is what she was complaining about.

Good morning! 60˚F heading to 80˚ with a strong cold front coming in tonight around 8pm when we will have a chance of rain and the temp will drop to 39˚ by morning. Starting to feel a lot like Christmas!

Nothing on the agenda, have lots of Harry homeowner repairs to do today so I need to get to the box store. Last night ran extension cord down to front field water heater. Plugged it in an watched the female end catch on fire. What the heck? That was a relatively new cord. Heavy duty one too. Since it was dark I really did not examine the end. It was a three way female down there. Really don't need that sort of excitement at the end of the day.

I will on the return trip, see their store and it looked good

finished decorating the tree and was able to move a third of the ornaments to the give away pile.

Was up in night to ice my shoulder, managed to go back to sleep in bed. Found one position where it didn’t hurt. Icing it again now.

Had to look if I was near you in IA last year on our trip, but wasn’t. We stayed in Sioux City twice. But drove up and down the west side.
