6F heading for -1F, after a high today of 24-25F with a breeze.
Worked on the shelter-logic for my sand shed we got all the hoops up and mostly anchored down. And the ends are hung but not stretched out or tied down yet.
working on 3rd hoop,.....................................all the hoops up

Hopefully my contractor shows tomorrow and we get the ends secured and maybe even the main tarp up and over. Also going to add some diagonal cabling to help hold it square.

That looks great! I think that diagonal bracing and anchoring is a great idea. Wind and snow can add significant loads to a shelter. On my 20' ShelterLogic, I used six 30" ground auger anchors.

FWIW: To get the cover up and over the hoops, I slid a plastic pipe in the pockets on one side and tied a rope to both ends of the pipe. The cover slid easily up and over. I was doing it single handed the first time. I'd recommend tying the other side to something solid so it doesn't follow the rest of the cover up and over.

All the best, Peter

This one has tubes that slide into the pockets on both sides. Also I got the so called super duty cover at 21.5 oz.

   / Good morning!!!! #215,318
8F and clear @ 00:30, was only calling for a low of 10F ... so it will be interesting to see where it ends up in the morning.

Got garage warmed up and prepped seed and then filled up the hopper feeder and scattered some for the ground feeders.

Hopper feeder again was not completely empty. Seems they really would prefer the good seed and not the cheap stuff I've been putting out.

But did have a bunch show up after I scattered the seed on the ground.

Woman and I collected up the trash and recyclables and ran those up and dropped them off at the cans at the road, collected the mail, dropped cardboard off up at the shop on the way back.

Then She headed down to DG for a couple of items.

Refueled torpedo heater and did some clean up in the garage and kitchen before She got back.

Got the large Mammoth Gold cleaned, baked, meat scraped off the rind, and processed:

Now cooking it down a little in the big pot to thicken it up before I measure it out and put it in containers and in the freezer.

Picked the seeds out, got a good amount of those, now spread out on a cookie sheet to dry.

The pot above with the lid on it has the stringy stuff and meat that the seeds were attached to. Going to cook that up and process it but package it separately and see if it is any good.

The directions I've read say to remove it (and the seeds) before making puree but say that you don't have to be real thorough as it's not critical.

Also got one of the Kentucky Field pumpkin (Dickinson) and 2 Hubbard Golden winter squash washed off. May do those later this morning.

Woman picked a little woven wicker basket the other day ... apparently just the right size.

... and Someone has already laid claim:

Hope everyone had a decent day.
