Wayne, glad to hear the wife is home safely, but your bachelor gig is over I fear. I thought you were cleaning house before she came back?

Roy, rode around in a friend's CRV quite a bit last fall. Nice cars and definitely one I would consider for our uses. I wish we had a Honda dealer a bit closer, the nearest is one hour away. I guess that shouldn't be that much of an issue but I had some bad alignment experiences with our Civic at non-Honda dealers.

Buppies, good luck on that back muscle, that will take time.

Mid-60's today and sunny. I'll take Milos for a walk while the grass dries enough to mow later.

45F and sunny @ 09:00 ... definite chill in the air ...

Didn't make it back up to the shed last night ... was just too pooped ... fell asleep on the couch and after that I was dead to the world.

Drew,

Did you have any luck with your leaking water line ?

No chill here yet, but coming soon enough I reckon. Another "Rainy night in Georgia…" here. Cloudy this morning about 72º going to 80s. A bit cooler. I'll be complaining about the cold soon enough! Happy Sunday boys!

water line postponed until tomorrow, unless I can sucker one of my helpers this afternoon to crawl in there. \
It's been leaking for a month and my water bill was 28 bucks so there is no urgency. I had a guy over hand digging the line, we found it, working about four feet to the source when his phone went off; he had to go rescue his wife whose car transmission had died. I told him to come back Monday. First to find the cutoff valves, though I admit I just unpacked my high lumen flashlight and I'm curious now what is under there. Might just have to take a peek. I saw the glint of something golden in there...;)

actually, that's more like what the plumber sees....:D

nice day here, much cooler, yeah, and I just finished washing the tractor, cleaned the windows, made the inside slightly less coffee washed.

Good Morning! 65˚ A warming trend starting, I knew it was too early to last. David here is the before picture. It is a cedar tree that grew next to an oak tree and cause it to be flat on one side (died two years ago so it is dry now). Question: Since it is cedar it will be lined with foil if food is in it but what sealer could be used instead of foil for cedar wood?

Don't have a definitive answer, but I did a butcher block type counter from Ohia and Tansmanian blue gum. I treat it with a combination of coconut oil and beeswax but I don't remember the reference that triggered that. I warm it slightly before application so it is liquid.

Did about 4 hours at work (0600-1000), then a nap (while the grass dried from yesterday's rain) and finished the work day by mowing the lawn. I expect one or two more mowings and that will be it for this season. Might mow the field one more time next week, then swap the RFM for the snow blower.
Good day, all told...I finished the day watching "Runaway Train" with John Voight....excellent film!
