Your countries still talk right? You seemed to have a little separation anxiety there.

:laughing: Most normal folk from either side of the border get on just fine. It's the politicians who are never happy.

Fortunately the good people in Scotland sorted things out with a voting paper and a pen, so no one got hurt.

dave1949....sit down and be quiet...at his age jmurray01 should not have to worry about oatmeal (fiber) intake yet....unlike us old farts.....:laughing:

Darn it....you guys make me laugh and laugh as I try to come up with witty retorts to your posts....they say laughing is good medicine.

Permit applied for, now waiting for local fire department to come out and look over my burn pile...they need to inspect it although there is 7" of snow on the ground and the closest building is 500' feet away....????

We usually reserve the burn pile for funerals not weddings. Michigan strange.

46˚ misty. The high will only be 50˚ today and then we drop into the 30's again. I will let the stove die today, it's 74˚ inside and I can't reduce the heat any more, and it's a waste of wood to start opening windows. The House will stay warm for a few days.

I have visited parts of Scotland and it would be great to go again. Some beautiful countryside there, single malts, history. Nice B&B's and pubs. We had a Scotsman, John, at the NATO bunker in Germany. He was a hoot. Took his celebrating of Rabbie Burns and the "Buffs" quite seriously so I'm not sure if his liver survives. He was from the Leadhills area and I always teased him about coming from a long line of cattle thieves.

There were a good number of slots at the bunker always filled by a UK service member (that's how NATO works in general, slots are filled by a given nation). They were all nice folks.

Well, about 50% of me roots are Scottish. Ok,stuck in Missouri because of ice on roads. Was supposed to leave for Mississippi yesterday, but roads slick as a peeled onion. Have to go through those Arkansas mountains from Mammoth Springs, Hardy, and if we make it to Black Rock where delta meets mountains, we are home free, I hope.

So, Missouri weather about 20° going to 35°, sipping me joe waiting on me fibromyalgia to allow me to start getting ready. I never have to rush Ethyl anymore, she'll be ready about as quick as me nowadays.

Good morning all. 32F and drizzle this morning. Forecast for 34F high, winds to pick up later this morning and temps to drop a couple of hours after that 14F low for tonight. Warming starts Wednesday. Nail extraction and wood sawing and parts to get trucks passed inspection on agenda today.
