Good morning mi amigos. A crisp morning in the 40s, but a forecast high of 68. I'll take it. Trailering the wife for an 11am training session. Should leave plenty of time for a ride this afternoon. Have a safe, productive and happy day!

"Strange how cold settles in pockets--like Roy's house."

That's one cold county..cold enough to freeze nuts off bridge as they say.

I'm not sure about the bridge...but it's sure cold enough to freeze mine off!!

Drew...you need to rent that old Tom Hanks movie "The Money Pit"

Buppies, enjoy that shower! And hang in there with all those operations!

Good Morning. 47˚ partly cloudy. February, always February when there is a major water leak. This time it's at my Dads but I'll be in the hole in the middle of the field. At least I'll get his tractor's FEL to dig a hole where the 300 gallons of water in the line can drain so I don't have to sit in the cold mud. . . .And no I did not cause this leak working on his sidewalk drainage system on the other side of the house. The good - it will be close to 70˚ this afternoon.

I actually tried to hire two different people who used to repair leaks to go out and fix it for him but they said they don't move so good any more and don't do it any more.

39 this morning and headed to 55 today. Should be a good day for getting something done. Let's see have to go get a new front wheel for the tractor. Hit a bump yesterday and the old one split about a quarter of the way around the inside. Then hope to make progress on this building.

Drew. Your first problem wasn't the wax seal. It was flooring guys that moonlight as plumbers. Oh just think of the story's you have for the coffee shop. Might want to put a fan in the crawl space to help dry it out.

RNG I say let it rain! Glad you are getting some water.

Like MG back in the mid-90's in Southern Maine we had 6-8 inches of rain in one day. It shut down I-95, ripped out a bunch of bridge culverts closing roads. Made quite the mess.

Well, not much chance of washing out any bridges, but quite a few trees have come down in the wind. Yesterday's rain started at 11AM, but by 5PM was all done at 1.37", most of which came down in the first hour. Disappointing to say the least. The winds were a different story, gusting here to 49MPH, and blowing hard all night. Fitful sleep with all that roaring and banging going on!

56F now with wind in the teens gusting into the 20s, so it's moderating a bit. No rain since midnight, and only showers predicted for today. Another pulse is due in tomorrow around noon, optimistically predicted to bring almost two inches of additional rain but with lower winds.

Once it gets light I'll take a stroll and look for damage. May be some chain sawing and tractoring in my near future...

Larro, that's a nice straight furrow. Will you use an auger to dill holes for the trees?

Buppies, sounds like you're healing fast.

Drew, good thing your HVAC guy brought his water wings! Gotta keep an eye on those contractors every minute. And now we gotta watch out for Chinese toilet seals? What next?!?

TXDon, Drew would probably be glad to trade you leaks. You're a good man for takin' care of your Dad, even though it is February.

Hope you all stay warm and dry while you work your projects today, and manage to work a little fun in there somewhere, too.

31F and partly sunny @ 10:00 ... headed up to a high of 40F ...

Low tonight only predicted to be 36F and then a high of 41F tomorrow.

With all this heat, we could end up with no snow cover.

Got the inner bushing reamed to fit and all fixtured in the sheave last night with Loctite 680 ... hafta go put the saw back together and adjust it here in a bit.

Also need to gather some firewood today as the pile is getting low.

Today or tomorrow would probably be a good day to pull the hydraulic cylinder off the dump cart.

I just got in from scalping the hayfield. It took about six hours. While I don't have video, this picture does convey a little action. When it works right, the sods turns grass side up and you see very little dirt showing through.

Would love to see video of that in action.....how much experimentation did it take to get that smooth and even cut? Need to do much adjusting of the 3-point?
