Roy if you have a blood pressure cuff you can check for PAD. Check your BP as normal and then check your ankle BP (same side) laying down. Divide the systolic of the ankle by the systolic of the arm. For example my arm was 100 and the ankle was 120 120 divided by 100 = 1.2

.91 to 1.3 normal
.41 to .90 mild to moderate
.40 severe

You may joke about it Dave, but we are not convinced. Ok, we know you aren't thieving to feed your habit, but that's not the issue. It's the long term damage to your tractor that we worry about.

We all thought you were at a turning point when you came out and admitted to using rocks for self multilation, but you just can't leave them alone.

Listen to yourself, "rebuilding the rock wall", "reclaiming a long-lost field" - yeh right, it's any plausible excuse to do rocks. We all think you need a break. Leave the rocks alone, don't even think about them, think "sand" for a while.

(Psst RNG - perhaps best for Dave if you leave out the heavy rock when you next do a music review)

(Psst TxDon - I know a lot of those old tv programs. Good job you didn't mention the Flintstones to Dave, I think that may be where it all started)

You're killing me. :D

FYI I haven't touched a rock all day.

Bob Seger "like a rock" - Dedicated to Dave....

Back from my Lowes run. Forgot to take a return item. Bought a couple 2x4s and 2x6s, and a 3' entry door for my church barn project. Filled the gas cans for the lawn mower.

I made my first set of speaker cases. Used to do a lot of wood working in my early days. The ones I have now are Pioneer, from the mid 1980's. Rather large in size, were not top of the line by any means, but good enough for me. They still work so I still use them. Would like to go for some of the mini surround sound ones someday.

Naah, I was too young in the 60's and I couldn't qualify in the 70s - didn't you have to be a dope head and go to UT Austin to be a Texas hippy?

I just discovered "Doctor Who" last year on NetFlix and watch the last 7 seasons (2005-2014)

My favorite shows were Bonanza, Mission Impossible, Leave it to Beaver, Andy of Mayberry, Tarzan, Cadet Don, and Kitirik

Texas hippies migrated to Montrose area of Houston (before it turned into a gay mecca). ZZ Top played free concerts in the park down there (or so my oldest brother tells me). :)

A great amp will make good speakers sound great. I bought at auction, a Denon receiver with supposedly 50 watts. It must not be old school. When hooked up to my JBL's, they sound like crap compared to the McIntosh. Every now and then, when the wife and kids are gone, I turn it up to "drive out the roaches" (the term my middle brother used to say). He passed away back in the early nineties. I like good, clean, tight bass. Not this muddy stuff you hear from all the cars nowadays. One of my favorite Yes tunes is the studio version of "Lift Me Up" on the union album. Get a cold one, send all the kids away, crank it up and center yourself between the speakers, and HOLD ON! :)

Drew, I have heard (and owned) many, many speakers over the years. Polk, Infinity, Bose (overpriced), but have come back to JBL. I do have 1 old La Scala Klipsch that came out of our church. I can't seem to find out what happened to the other one. Rumor has it that it was given to a start up church somewhere near here. Thinking of hanging it with chains in my barn and running both channels to it for fun. I just happened to stop by the church one evening while our sanctuary was getting renovated, and there it was, in the big haul off dumpster. One man's trash is another's treasure. Dumpster diving I went. Throwing a Klipsch anything in the trash is sacrilegious right?

I think speakers are kind of like Mexican food, you kind of grow accustomed to a particular style(sound or food) and stick to it. Can I get an Amen? LOL.

I was obsessed with hi-fi in my early teens too. Didn't have much money, so I made my own speaker cabinets in woodwork at school. Wharfedale speakers with parasitic cones, because I couldn't
afford the tweeters. My first stereo amp was 2 mono valve radio amps. Some still say valves are best - not me, I got zapped plenty of times playing with valves but never once with transistors.

Valves = Tubes on this side of the pond.

Good evening all. 76F this morning got to 101F and the heat index had to be up there. Power-washed the driveway today, that finished the power washing. while running the power-washer, one of the bicycles fell over onto one of those expanding hoses, which then became a fountain :( . Granddaughter is coming to buy my Vue so I need to check the brakes on it, 80K and no brake work yet. If I could get some extra stuff sold off and the garage painted, I could organize it so much better. Glad to hear I am not the only one looking forward to cooler weather in Texas  :drink:
