Good Morning! 31F out right now headed to 42. We had a sloppy "wintry" mix overnight topped off with freezing rain this morning. There is an inch or so of heavy pelletized snow on the ground. Love my Subaru in the winter!

43 this morning and headed to 52 today. Definitely a change in weather. Oh well I guess it's about time.

Finish repairs that got started yesterday in chicken coops. Then try to locate a 12 foot tilt trailer.

Cleared 5" off the drive and the end of the cul-de-sac...getting low on fuel, so I came back in for a while. Not a good start though...both cab doors were frozen shut. I got my wife's hair dryer to thaw them and got both open in a bit. The really dumb thing was I got in, started the tractor and went back inside for while the tractor warmed. Went back out and....(drum roll) DUH!! I had locked myself out of the tractor while it was running!! Fortunately, I have spare keys, but boy...was that dumb!
The other dumb thing...every year I say I'm going to get drive markers...maybe I'll get 'em before the next snow!

I am done for a while. The walks need to be cleared, but the prediction is for freezing rain this afternoon and I'll leave the walks until that passes. I can walk on snow, even if it's frozen on top...can't walk on frozen sidewalks.

Dentist took one look at my tooth after xrays and shook his head. Sending me to oral surgeon to have it pulled. Prior root canal and pins had given up.
And said when it healed to come on back and he had over $3K of bridge work to do. I'll be shopping that around for sure.

Now to get changed and go paint my Gravely wheels their second coat of white. That should be simple with no expensive surprises...
the rain has left and it's a surprisingly warm 75 degrees

Don't I wish. The weather had been very cooperative but it really doesn't matter to the guys that are 260 feet inside a pipe twelve feet below the surface. They are under one ramp and the North bound Barrel and to the middle of the South Bound but the old wetlands that were there in 1962 were filled in with shot rock from the Rte. 120 cut. That comes out slowly, very slowly.

Good afternoon all. 27F this morning, clear and frosty. Am near the forecast high of 43F breeze mostly light and out of north. Today's bike ride was in full winter gear, 41F at start. Changed over to Trek from 10-speed. Also working on updating maps to bike gps unit to round out TMA. It is a lot more work than if Garmin still supported them :confused2: . Signed up to ride in the Blue Ridge bike ride in 01/01/2016 41 miles.
