Poured first cup of coffee. 8ー with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 18ー with cloudy skies. 27ー warmer from yesterdays low. Almost like winter. Added intake pipe rework on my to do list. Going to have to get a lot warmer and about a foot of snow to melt off roof before that will happen. Furnace is currently using inside house air for combustion. A little noisy but works OK.
When it warms up a little today will work on assembly of chipper. No rush to get it completed. Surprised that hydraulic oil is only rated for use down to 30 degrees. Plus WoodMaxx recommend that it's best not to chip in temperatures below freezing. Too hard on the chipper blades. Must be a CYA note in case one breaks.
Need clean walkways of 1" of snow that fell last night.
Randy, glad your meeting went well.
Buckeye, keep on resting and getting good doctor reports.
Riptides and others, prayers sent.
Good Morning All.
I believe what they are concerned about is pitch pockets that are frozen, they are about like hitting rocks.
Hit a good size frozen pitch pocket with a chainsaw and you'll need to resharpen the chain.
