Oh I will get over it...what makes me laugh is that I would never have guessed an 82 year old, 95 pound woman knew so many insults and so many colorful ways to express them....perhaps she has been storing up them up all these years and waiting for her chance to say them....:laughing:

The meanest folks I've ever met were all old folk. It takes a long time to distill hate..... This will pass, and you will be stronger for it. Meanwhile, join a group, a divorced folks thing. I am told it helped my brother out a lot.

There will always be bias where family is concerned, unfortunate but true.

At least you have a massive "lawn" to mow, whenever you feel low just think of me with my little push mower mowing my "postage stamp" :laughing:

My Grandma who was in her 70's when she died. (My dads Mom) She never liked my mom and insulted her with words that shouldn't and won't be said here.

She resented her and didn't like her getting married to my dad for some reason.

She always insulted her even when I was there, from when I was first born until I was 8.

I finally caught on to what she was saying when I turned 3 and started repeating what Grandma was saying.

I'm surprised my mom even let me go over to Grandmas house or that she even continued going there after all those insults. :laughing:

She (Grandma) died when I was 8. I can still hear her insulting my mom. xd. She had a temper, but I loved her dearly and still do.

What I would give for her to be here and listen to her insults again.

You are only as old as you feel. A lot of us feel like we're 30ish, and some of us still act like kids.

HOO HOO...what an afternoon it has been for me....my soon-to-be-ex wife asked me to go visit her elderly parents (81 and 82 years old) today and tell them their daughter filed for a divorce...after 21 years of being what they called an ideal son-in-law, appears all my credibility has been destroyed and I am automatically now the bad guy. Wife left the house earlier today and turned her phone off, her folks have been out here twice already trying to learn if I have done a Scott Peterson on their daughter...oh well....I will laugh about this someday I hope.

That stinks. Even YOU do not deserve that. You should have refused to tell them and made her tell them herself.

Got an interview for the aforementioned job scheduled for 11AM on Thursday so all going well I could be working the following week. Until then I think I'll permanently attach myself to some wood :laughing:

Poured my second cup of coffee. 35 degrees with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 47 with some clouds. Never got to the leaves yesterday. Wind was blowing good yesterday moving more leaves into the field next door though. It's on top of the list today. Then It's NASCAR this afternoon.

Bill good luck to you, I'm sure you'll get through this. I know what you're going through, my 1st marriage lasted 20 years, my present wife (better half) and I have now been together for better than 15 years. Thinking back at the time it seemed like the worst thing that could have happened. Now I am grateful for the experience, after all my ex introduced me to my present wife and I AM smiling.
