Got a job at Harbor Freight Tools

Good deal Kyle, I hope you do well. I don't know if I could handle having a job at HF though, it would be like an alchoholic getting a job at a liquor store.

Congratulations....I suppose now we will have to hide the thread " HF tools that really don't suck " from you...:laughing: In your new job...find a void and fill it...look for a vacuum and make yourself indispensable and before you know it you will either be managing one or own your own...Best wishes always.:thumbsup:

I was talking to a member of our church Sunday and he told about as a youth in his first job about a very difficult customer...
He said that after some back and forth he finally snapped and cussed the customer out...
The customer left in a huff and he thought that he would lose his job...
His boss came over to him, put his arm around him, and told he that the customer is not always right...
But he is still the customer...

My first full time job was as a checker in a grocery store. It's a really valuable experience for a young man, dealing with the public. You will learn a lot about human nature, especially when you are taking money from them and are expected to be at their service. It can get really scary and hair raising at times, and you will be frustrated and occasionally angry, but it will also renew your faith in people and their innate goodness.

It's something that will stay with you always, no matter what you actually choose as your career. I ended up using it as an means to an end; i.e. I worked part time there while going to college. Sharn Jean and I insisted that our daughters get similar retail experience, and it has served them well...they have required the same from our Grandkids.

Congrats on your 1st job Kyle! I too recently got my first job working on a farm, the experience you gain in the work force will definitely help you set cornerstones into your future endeavors. :thumbsup:
